If you can't get the BR to work correctly here and you force the raters to use an external link just so they can read it, then you're doing something wrong and you're probably gonna get a low rating. If you can't write HTML correctly then don't bother trying to make this super fancy report with 78092750279 pics if it's not even going to work right.
And don't go thinking this is some conspiracy against you, there are plenty of first-time BR writers that get 7's and 8's for their work. |

I just read your BR on your geocities link. First of all your spelling and grammar are atrocious. And second, why did you put every single screenshot you had into the report? There's such a thing as too many, you know. And people without a cable modem aren't gonna sit there and wait for dozens of pictures to load.
So if I was a rater I'd still give you a 1. |

1 - It's Your ROLE Model, not YourModelRole.
2 - The reports are rated on this site, and as much as a blank screen deserves a ten in my opinion... the other judges disagree.
3 - I don't get ratings because of who I am... I started on this site as an unknown at the beginning of the summer. It's not about having 56 pictures and alot of text man... there has to be some kind of character to the report. Don't be like "And btw that if this same BR is creat by YMR, they gonna give a rating of 9+"... You think they let me off easy on grammer or spelling or story? I don't get ratings based on my name.
4 - The one on your site isn't bad, JSH is right about too much though. I would give that one higher than a 1 or 2 for sure, but not a 9.

As one of those people who get 8.0+ for reports with all text and no screen shots, it's in the writing. If the style is good, it gets a high rating. (Note that I am talking about actual reports, not PL:C)
And the name may help sometimes, but not much. And even then, it takes a few reports to build a reputation. My first report was a silver, and I think YRM's was as well. And if The Rubber Ducky can get a gold, the name can't be that big of a factor... |

| </font><font color="#FF0000" size="2">The first time I ever read a YRM report, I was biased against him because of something I'd read on the BW S&T Forums (something which I forget now :o\ - I think it was something he'd written that I disagreed with). It wasn't that great, reminded me a little of my first try (out of an entire 2 reports people, LOL). Suddenly he wrote this gold, and even I was raising my eyebrows and looking at improvement. And THEN he writes a controversial 10 that everybody and his grandmother has heard about and likes now. :D And now he's leaving...oh well. The thing that gets me is - everyone wants Fractal or someone to take his place. What about CattleBruiser? :o( Yeah yeah, I'm one of the people who prefers his style compared to YRM's (this is something someone else said, about YRM using comical pics and CB using...uhh...I forget :o\). But Fractal is a good choice if we want more YRM I guess. I find your 'good name=8+' insulting.
Myself, I knew I was weak in html, so what I did was make it in composer. However, I did so to see how I wanted it to look like. I ended up cutting from my Word version of the report (first I did a full text version, then placed it in composer to find out how I wanted it to look like and find out what tags did what) and typed in the tags myself. I ended up having to fix up some of the formating anyway (some still didn't fix up and I almost redid it anyway). I have another report comming with pictures, and I'm more then expecting to not only have to redo it, but also get a lower score (For some reason, I can't get things the way I like it. Excalibur_Z is my co-writer, and if he's reading this, I think I'll be needing some help here :P).
I'm far from that well known now, nevermind about the time I wrote the report. Saying that the little acclaim I have was the reason why I got what I got is just pure BS.
IMO, if you had cared to actualy re-edit the report or actualy bother with typing HTML (don't even have to know it, just get netscape to show the Page Source from what you wrote and then slip in the tags that are needed), you would've gotten a much better report. Jeesh, the editers allow for a person to remake a screwed up one (I hope so at least :P).
Give these writers some credit, and don't bother with excuses.

Btw, the 'essay' comment was refering to my own comments, some of which nearly reach 1 page. Meanwhile, grammer and spelling helps people read a report (try reading those BRs that are just one long paragraph). If he used the word 'barrage' to refer to a hydra attack and mispelled it, the writers might think I was in the game :P.

Listen here and listen good, "Me". I don't give a damn and a half about the fact that the report was ridiculously bad. He can use poor grammar and spelling all he wants. But comparing this absolute DRIVEL to a decent writer like YourRoleModel is a fucking travesty. If you have a problem with people who don't like poor spelling and grammar, I reccommend you do several things:
1) Read the report guides and pay close attention to the writing style sections.
2) Get the fuck off the site and take [i]prozerran with you.
3) Find a large city bus that's going at least 50 mph.
4) Wait until it's about ten feet away, then step in front of it.
If you can still walk, repeat steps 3-4.
