| Yikes nice intense battle report, I also learned one new thing from this game: Make my CC on my ledge then float it down to the natural. I've never thought to do this before, I guess it wastes some time but it's much safer than straight out building at your natural. |

See, when shock gets the first comment he actually has something to say =p.
This report is more interesting mostly because it was a lot more even than the others. I checked the stats and the other guy actually had more kills than AQD3. Sign of a tight game when protoss is the one on the losing end of that stat.
Of course he did outresource the other guy by 33% or sth... |

| Nice report AQD2. Your the man with the plan. Poor terran should have expanded more. He sounded like a bruiser with those tanks though. |

Maybe I missed it, but I never caught the starting locations, which had sort of a ripple affect on my understanding the rest of the game.
I narrowed it down to the starts being on the Top and Left, and I am guessing you had the top spot, but this was only after reading about the way you expanded.
If I simply missed this point, sorry, if not, maybe you could e-mail Johnny or Mark4 and indicate your start, so that they can add it into the report. It's a small, yet important part of the report. Sorry if I simply read over it, I looked three times, but didn't catch it.
Otherwise good report.
Mark4 once told me that if a player averaged over 15 points a win, he wasn't even close to his true ranking yet. Obviously, you are not even close to attaining your actual ladder ranking. |

Good report, but he had wraith ability, i don't see how one carrier would force him to surrender? or did he run out of minerals? did i miss that? sorry if i did

My actual philosophy on that YRM is that if you have less then twenty net points per win you are a newbie killer. You subract the losses from the wins in a record, then divide the score minus 1000 by that number. If the result is less than twenty, you have a newbie killer.
I'd say you have reached your true ladder score when you have a net point per win of twenty five and over ten losses. |

| Don't get down on AQD3 the guy's been writing awesome battle reports at an incredible clip. Frankly i think that there should be a feature somewhere on the site where a really good series of battle reports should go like YRM's ffa series, when it's done and AQD3's continuing ladder saga. Right now I think of AQD3's brs as one continuos chronicle detailing his rise in fortunes and misfortunes on the ladder, I find it very interesting to see how he does on the ladder and how over time his opponents keep on getting better. So good report AQD3, keep 'em coming |

That's all fine and good if you win constantly. I struggled my way up to 1150 with about 36 wins and 20 losses... but along the way I fought a variety of skill levels. I just don't know if your theory applies to lesser players. What if a guy has more losses than wins? resulting in a 800 ladder score? What if a guy plays all FFA on the ladder... what if I forget why I even care in the first place?
By the way, I am in your base... and coming for you...

This report I like=] IMO, the only thing stupid the Terran player did, was during your early (well, not so early) containment with templar/goons/zealots.... you said you were taking cloaked wraith fire, he should of trained his guns on your templar, rather than your goons/zealots.
Totally outresourcing your opponent in games helps too=]

| My little theory only applies to people who play 1v1 ladder and try to find opponents at thier rating to play. Besides, YRM is a newbie killer! =] |

One thing hits me about this report. It seems like the opponent is doing the 6 factory strategy that blade_leader popularized and Whoop advocates. Anyone have an opinion on this?
That's the one where you get two factories, expand, then get another four factories. |

| Hey, anybody know how to quickly make a minimap battle with Paint Shop Pro 5.0's Animation Shop? I don't see any "Crop" option unless I'm blind (which I very well could be :-) if I have to, I'll just crop out every minimap individually (poor me, I have do to extra work for a br). Anyways, I should have a neato br up either today or tommorow. I highly doubt it'll be YRM caliber, but ya never know. |

I don't know if you can do that in Animation Shop. Try looking in help under cropping, universal cropping, global changes, etc...
In GIF Animator, you right click on the image, pick crop, crop it, click the radio buttons that indicate universal changes that replace your original pic, and you are done.
On another note... it's nice here in Fort Bragg. I have to warn anyone esle doing this that you really have to make sure your army disguise is up to snuff. I almost got caught when my Groucho Glasses with Moustache almost fell off... Newbie killer eh? Look behind you in the COMPUTER ROOM you are in!!! HAHAHAHAHA! |

| Possible answer to the question as to why he abandoned the game after seeing your carrier while he had wraith ability. Most toss players when they attack with carriers, they attack with 12. He might have panicked and thought you had a full fleet on the way. how soon after the attack did he leave? Was he completely out of wraiths and couldn't make any more? If he went hard tanks he probably upgraded them, that means armory and that means goliath capability as well as valks. So the only possible answer is that he was either really mined out or he just panicked. |

| I played this player again last night. This time he selected zerg. I have to say his terran was lot better than his zerg. Or maybe I was playing a lot harder because of the embarassing loss to TMAC I had just suffered. |

Yeah...that is the best battle report I have read so far. I personally suck with protoss, so I guess I cannot fully appreciate your analysis of the game. But you certainly had a good strat, containment with dt's and zealots. I dunno how efficient zealots are against bats and mines, but i guess you rsponded to what you saw him doin. Here's a trick i'm sure you guys already know about: if you lay mines, it targets the dt's to; it has saved my terran ass many a time. Great report even without pics!

Not that I'm mr. tactician or anything, infact I suck I seriously am the worst player in nohunters (then again I don't play all that much) but IMVERYhummble opinion I would've done the gayweb teck much earlier I to love you're reports, I'd give it a 10 but that's just me. I really like you're style and how it draws the reader into the game. You are the best I wish I could play like you

| I was wondering...Did you use the micro-management technique for your Dark Templar and Comsat fights? You know...where you send one DT in, wait 3 seconds, send another, etc. That way the Terran wastes his comsats. I'm sure a 1200 rated player knows that, but you never know. Besides, you were probably so overwhelmed with hectic fighting that the strategy would have been impractical. It's best used with siege. |

| Nice report, AQD3 but I how did you get past the wraiths with your carriers? You didn't mention the production af an observer. also the tanks would have been more efective if he had vultures :p |
