| Here is the real kicker...it was on the most easy setting. Yet...I have played at higher levels and those games were not even close to how messed up this one was. I think I just bit off more than I could chew when I took on like 5 Civilizations |

Naah... the Civ2 AI sucks, and I mean really, <b>really</b>,<b>REALLY <font size="+5">SUCKS</font></b>.
Sorry, had to do that. =)
Alpha Centauri is slightly better in that respect, but it just ain't the same as playing with a Phalanx. =( Naah, MOO2 is the best game in that category. At least the AI's for the different races are slightly better.
BTW BotF SUCKED. Man, I felt so ripped off. Thing Terran is micrp intensive? Try playing lategame BotF on the biggest map setting. "Now, where is that little icon representing my 20th fleet among all those other clickable icons?".
Nah, MOO2 owns the genre. |

FLINT OWNS. WRITE MORE!!! Civ2. By the Gods, I have invested HOURS in that game. Took a game to 2256 once. Ever tried colonizing Greenland? It's all about whales and oil. I owned Latin America, India, England, and every island on the map.
Game after game I've played Civ2! Way better than MOO2, sorry, but it is. Micro just as bad late Moo2 Warphead. And you think the AI sucks? Try playing against 6 computers on Diety.
I give it a 9. It's not a 10, but it's close! Ever bombed a city into the ground? It's fun. The UN can't do much when it's host city, London, doesn't exist. Muahaha.
One time I changed the tech setting, so research took FOREVER. It's easy to take a city, just send 40 chariots at it.
Gods, my hand is shaking. Must build Pyramids. Irrigate, Explosives!!! Civ2 OWNS YOUR BONES. *Note* first time .Praetor has ever used 'owns' slang.
I can hear the crunching of soldiers as a city is taken, the desperate clang and cries of a Legion in battle. Onward soldiers, we fight for the Praetor!!!

I´ve played hundreds of hours, and played many, many games.(said with the commandant lassards voice from police academy)
I want Civ III.. I dont have an opinion about Test of Time yet, but mayB its good...
Oh well, the report too was great.
I loved the World war.. Loved the nuking..
BTW, why U used almost nuthin but tanks?? I like Stealth Bombers more..

Btw, micro in lategame BOTF is WAY WAY WAY worse than in Moo2. Think Moo2 WITHOUT the pop-up messages and beginning of turn summary. |

MOO2 was good, but it's not as fast as CIV2, and just didn't have the ADDICTION factor for me. And late game, MOO2 still had horrible amounts of micromanagement. When in battles, I filled the whole screen (almost) with ships taking down the Antarens (or whatever). BotF did suck though. I did feel ripped off. Though I did enjoy cloaking. Muahaha.
Flint, I have to play an awesome FFA to report on it =). The problem is that I don't play as much, and I don't do as much ladder. AND less people play FFA on ladder now =(.
Someone asked about Brigand. My copy of Works is messed up. I'm going to try and get what I have of chapter2 converted to .rtf on a compter at the school's labs here, so I can work on it in Wordpad. Eventually.... |

Superb! Nothing makes an interesting battle report like an all-out nuclear world war :). Makes me want to play Civ2 again - yeah, I'll do that :).
When I played Civ2 before I stopped playing it, nukes were a no-no. Nukes just wreck everything, but I guess if you're really itching to cause every civ on the planet to hate you, and you don't mind the global warming, and that all the cities become useless, they're good :).
