I disagree with Ducky. You've got your style, stick with it. I rarely have time to play & report games, so when I post I post big ol', pix-heavy reports...but I like these constant short ones.
& I want to play you....Your T. vs. my Z. I think I can scare you, if not beat you.

Well, couple of things about my br's. First, I know they are not great. Not even close. I like to think of them more as "strats in action" guides than battle reports. As much as I like the other picture heavy type, I usually dont learn any new strats. So, that is what I am trying to bring to the table. Especially because so many people pick on terran (me included) I think it is nice to see how and where they can win. Pictures are a pain in the ass to create and edit, but I may try some in the future (and try to remember to take them!).
And, ah, my terran v. zerg blows Fractal, but we sure can have a game, and you sure can own me if you like :p. |

Now you are taking down Protoss on islands. Keep up the good work with terran. I am learning Terran as well but haven't been able to kill Toss on islands. And about Ducky, ignore him. He is alwasys critcizing other people. He dissed my report as well. Good job! Keep it up!

Air control can be essential on islands... it can also be entirely beside the point. The basic problem is that air control for the sake of air control (devourer, corsair(sorta except for dweb), valks) is just a resource drain unless the enemy is willing to fight you in the air.
The protoss are the ones that can most afford to ignore air control because thier shuttles are a LOT faster than anything in the air with the speed upgrade. You simply can't cost effectively interdict them. Or interdict them at all in most cases. A wily protoss can fight a whole island map battle using only shuttles, or shuttles and arbiters even against very high quality opponents. As a counter arguement, protoss can also most cheaply establish air control with the insanely effective corsair.
Other races have to expand a lot more micro beating a haevy air blockade with an all land strat. No easy speed shuttles and hallucinations for terran. You have to buy a lot of D-matrix. And zerg just have to spend the extra cash for empty overlords as distraction.
Bottom line, I wouldn't say your opponent was a bad player for not getting air as protoss on islands. I will say he sucked because he apparently didn't use high templar. You need one or the other. The third tech tree, reavers, are fine, but unless you invest in shield batteries I wouldn't consider them primary defense.

| You have to play mech on dire... using dropships to make the small hops across the water. And I just love using mines as drop defence.. spread clumps of these over your base and meanwhile attack with tanks, vultures and marines. |
