<color=red>I loved it!</font> The clouds of death, the exploding vultures....I could see it happening. Great fun! I like the Starcraft setting, and the names don't make much of a difference. They just make it seem all that farmiliar...I mean, who's gonna forget the name Jim Raynor? I hate falling victim to that...forgetting the main character's name. Oh, I've done it before, believe it or not.
Sweet story, can't wait till next weeks.

anyways, praetor and annie, i know i did not make my own story, and because both of you are a great story tellers, i thank you...
BUT, why do you think movies feature same type of characters for different movies?
it's because these characters in one movie, might have the same characterisitics as the new character in a NEW mvoie...
it is just to that the viewer(reader) has a definite feel for the story, not a complete remake of something else...
as Teckman stated, i am only featuring the environment SC is based, but not the story itself....please understand..
if it REALLY bothers you, just insert your names in the place of Jim, and my name in place of anyone else...
or, insert BR people like yrm, mark4, nobody, ducky, egg, or anyother great writers(didn't have the energy to mention inumerable others) in place of my characters...it will give a different FEEL to the story...but making my main character named JIM, it gives a sence of familiarity, that feeling you are really into the story..
nothing more..
i'll keep on writing, please keep on reading....

| I agree with Praetor, different names for the characters would be better. If you use the starcraft characters, stick to it, if its starship troopers, stick to that. Mixing them all makes the story distorted. Reading about Ricco, I immediately think of StarTroopers n then Raynor comes in and I immediately recall SC and how these two different worlds do not match. The story is really good so far and I enjoy reading it. |
