1st comment woohoo!

Nice report, though the range will kill you. In order to get the cannons blocked, you need cannons infront. Dragoon, hydra, and marine food.

I find that if you take 24 overlords and cluster them on top of your opponents expansion nexus, he will be unable to make new probes there, thus wasting 400 minerals.

Interesting strat. I think it works better for Terrans, though. Zerg, of course, can't do it at all.

However, on the subject of using your supply units in battle, here's a thought. If you follow the Book of Heartcutter, you go for mass upgraded marines with sci-vessel backup when facing Zerg. One interesting counter I thought of would be to engage the enemy forces with hydralisks or ultralisks, then float a couple of overlords overhead with infested Terrans in them. Drop the Terrans in the middle of the infantry and watch them go boom.

Obviously, after getting hit by this a couple of times, your foe will wise up and start shooting down overlords. But this costs him micro time, plus the time he spends blasting OLs is time he doesn't spend blasting your combat troops. Don't know if this would be cost-effective or not.

Alternately, if one could somehow devise a way to keep an infested Terran burrowed without it getting noticed by the sci vessels, and then lure the marines on top of it, it could pop up and inflict hellish casualties...

Any thoughts? I keep thinking there ought to be a good use for those buggers--they do as much damage as a nuke hit, after all, at least to anything with 750 hit points or less, and they don't have the long setup time that a nuke does. If anyone has any good infested Terran strategies, I'd love to hear 'em. Maybe a drop into the enemy peon line, or to kill annoying bunkers? (Keeping in mind that such strats should be geared towards Terran, since you can't get infested Terrans if your opponent is Zerg or 'Toss...)

I'm gna cry did #16 just take that post seriously...?

I gotta do the creep colonies blocking in a hydra thing...tho spoofing something twice can get old.

Death to A-X!

Well, imitiation is the sincerest form of flattery.

I'm flattered that you tried to make it work for Protoss, but you may run into certain limitations trying to make this work. But if you can, more power to you.

hehe.

hehe - would have been funnier with EMP :)
#21 Snowreaver (206.152.157.250)[21523]
Two points about the infested terrans thing...

They can't burrow, and they do 400 damage. They ARE the only SC unit that can attack ground, however.
#22 (fjwilson.reshall.uc[21562]
They can burrow, and they do 500 damage. This is why they are the perfect counter to Ultralisks.
#23 Amber-X (r67h91.res.gatech.edu)[21568]
Glad u thought it was funny Heartcutter - it's a releif to know that you took this as lightly as it was meant to be taken. And Mark4, what do you have against A-X?
#24 Fractal_Wave (24.65.24.97.bc.wave.home.com)[21580]
Try evo chambers w/ sunkens.

hahahhheheheh

All the best,

Re #17: D'oh. Sorry. I guess my humour monitor was out of order that day.

The problem with using infested Terrans on ultras is that you don't normally have access to them if you're facing Zerg. I suppose in a FFA or team game you might. But the ideal infested Terran strategy would be for use against Terrans.
