| I totally agree w/ Dino! "Nobody" reports about beating good people get sux0r ratings while a Mark4 or Mogalin (tee hee!) production will get a 8-9 (I'm just kidding, I would get a 5). Anywho, JV or Mark4, there's a guaranteed 8. Well that observer guy sounded totally f**king gay! If I ever saw that I would cry because of severe gayness! |

Whenever dealing with homos of that severity, always always always demand they share vision. If they don't then assume he is not obsing.
I was playing a 5 player ffa and wiped out 3 of the 5 players personally. The first player I toasted of the three had apparently continued to produce troops because later he came back to irritate me. Due to his irritating attacks I had not sufficient forces to beat the last player.
So in a completely selfish move I allied the backstabber and then killed both the last player and then later the backstabber. It made me feel quite good. The problem is that often if you leave these "observers" alone for too long they will become too powerful.
Oh and as for the BR I can imagine better things to do with my time than read about some pathetic zergling rush and the gayness of Koreans which I am already very familiar with.
Then again, here I am commenting on this report so your words must have touched me in some sort of sensitive way, hehehe =P |

| I have to say that Korean gayness is plaguing bnet. All the ladder games are in gay ass Korean and every time you start a game "5...4....3...2..(Korean switches to zerg)...1...go" It's the same goddamn thing every time. Finally, about that )Aiur( guy, he probably is some shitty ass newbie killer I looked at his ladder profile and he has an 100% win ratio. He probably went around and whupped on a bunch of 1000 rated players. Either that or he win traded. Oh, and Lewis, sorry if i pissed you off, we could have won that 2on2 vs. probey if you didn't quit. I just couldnt bum rush his tanks with marines, I would have gotten romped. |

nice report, u could of put a little more work in it. It feels good rushing top ladder players, just to humble them hehe, and i dont think that was a lame rush, considering u didnt go for the typical cheese 4,5,6 pool and waited for 8 lings at his natural before attacking( aiur was tech rushing for godsakes). Not to be racist, but i have had games, where i beat the very good koreans, in a ffa or obs game, and the other koreans will allyup to attack you:( They need ethics in that country.

| I think I was the guy that gave Whoop's report an 8. It was a worthwhile read describing the tactics he used to beat the best player in the world in a 2v2. Also it was a very rare occurence. How many chances do you get to play Grrr and win for that matter? |

| Seriously though, I have a problem with this getting a 1.5 AND whoop receiving a 6.8 overall. When the forum got a lot of posts about public rating, Mark4 stepped in and brought up great points as to why that wouldn't work. His strongest arguement was bascially that public raters would sacrficie objectivity for personal bias. I think the raters did just that on Whoop's report. Now, the rating system in my opinon has failed in that instance! Now the counter is... that the reporters then have only failed once, out of thousands of ratings. And I agree, but if it happens again, I will also point it out. For I feel in order for Mark4's arguement to hold merit IT must be proven true by the raters. |

I read both of the reports that you are talking about. In my opinion, they were both mediocre reports, they both got mediocre ratings.
Obviously, the raters found Whoop's report more interesting, possibly because Whoop is well known on this site and the raters were curious how Whoop did against X'Ds~Grrr... (I personally found Whoop's report more interesting because of that fact.)
For you to get your panties all twisted up about this is utterly ridiculous. You are suggesting that the raters are kissing Whoop's ass by giving him a good rating on a mediocre report. This is utterly absurd.
Anyway, I don't mean to come off so harsh, but this is a good site that I enjoy visiting and posting on. I honestly feel like this is a non issue that should be dropped.

| I loved reading Whoop's report of beating Grrr... That is an amazing accomplishment and if anyone hasn't noticed, good games against top players get high ratings. Whether the report is fancy or not this holds true. This report about the top ladder player in my book gets a 4 or 5 not a 1 or 2. The way I rate reports is "good game" yes add points, no subtract points; "humor" yes add, no neutral; "great or unusual strats" yes add, no neutral; "short or very short game" yes subtract, no neutral; "top players involved" yes add, no neutral; "pretty pictures" yes add, no neutral. |
