Damn - EXACTLY what not to do with zerg - I think if John messed around with his mutas, he could have distracted pika enough to get some sort of foothold on the game - oh, and if microed properly - i think that 5 goons + 1 cannon could beat 10 mutas... but he should have attacked some outlying buidings, ran away, came back, n kept up crazy shit like that. And the lings in the ovies - damn - he should have lead them on with 2 mutas or something to give him some more time, or he should have landed them on the edge of Pika's base... NEways - later people. Oh, and kewl style in reporting - done well.

Great br, as usual. This deserves gold just because of the shocking discovery of RD and pokemon (j/k.. don't kill me!)
I could've sworn that 12 mutas beats 1 archon, although the mutas all become weak enough to die against 3 dragoons afterward. Myself, I would've been cautious about striking that main; while the mutas are fighting the 5 goons and 1 cannon, more goons and cannons would show up to finish things. The outcome is usualy not pretty. Hit and running would've been great, though.
As for the cracklings...well, I can't believe he would've used any in the first place; Pika already showed to have a thing for archons and the shuttle proved that reaver tech existed. A heavy hydra drop would've worked better. As for losing it all to corsairs, imo that attack shouldn't have happened at all. A zerg needs to be hyperharassing. 1-3 overlords in the main, while 1-3 in the expansion, all full of hydras, while exping twice. 4 hydras could've handled that archon, and corsairs wouldn't have been able to stop both attacks before they started.
Of course, I believe I remember that john won out an earlier 4 way ffa with me in it. Although I was killed via a silly rush long before he spotted me, and the others kept throwing units away against his turtle, I probably shouldn't be commenting :P. |

Hmmm, I will have to agree with some of the commenters... Hit and run was definitely a more viable option for those original mutas.

I don't think 2gate sair beats a muta rush =(
all you gota do is put up a spore early and ward off those damn sair. Then get muta/queen and he will probably have 6 or so corsair by the time you get mutas. You research ensnare and use ur spore to help. After that, use lots o scourge! Its better to attack w/ scourge from 2 sides so that the sair don't kill all the scourge before they suicide =( Ensnare, Clone scourge, attack, win. Most of the time, a toss won't really have a lot more troops at his main except a few cannons. From there, you can win!
