| /me agrees with TheCabbit and Dancing Midget :) 7 drones couldn't kill 2 reavers in 100 years. If this is true than that guy either cheats or is a god. Furthermore, I doubt that having 2 reavers, archons, and zeals is possible in what u said (a "rush"). Finally, with all that shit how could the second guy only have 12 lings??? |

Although I can't possibly see mines killing that large a force (they are cost effective..but that doesn't always= big results), the others are right. You can pull of hit and runs vs reavers with lings only because of their speed and fast damage. Even then it's a very insane move. Drones just aren't fast enough to even kill one, nevermind 2.
As for the report. You told it pretty ok, though nothing realy fancy was in it. Of course, your gimmick is the 'fact or fiction' idea which I think is pretty wild and original; especialy since both seem rather hard to believe (what player would be THAT cowerdly, even after seeing that insane loss). Keep it up
Reading this report is like:
Sending 2 scouts out to recon a base only to collide into a shuttle about to reaver drop your defenseless expansion.

I agree with the others. The micro move you described in the first part was just too unbelievable.
I still wish you would expand on this idea more. Throw in some pics. Make the battle reports more detailed. I'm still pissed that I didn't think of this gimmick first... :-P

Staging fake pics would be fun. :) I'm trying to think how I'd depict drones killing reavers.... Ungodly bad micro on the part of the reavers would look like godly good micro on the part of the drones. IE, have your buddy controlling the reavers target the drone that's dancing around far from the attacking force, and take a pic of that... make it look like a fancy hit-and-run micro job.
Good concept, but I think it needs to be brought to the next level (not just with pics either; develop the BRs themselves a little more). |

Being a newcomer here, I suppose I should mind some p's and q's, but oh well...
The reports themselves were a little lackluster in comparison to some that I have seen on here. The Fact/Fiction idea is pretty inventive.
I am trying to decide which would be worse:
1. To get suckered into mines when you KNOW you are being attacked with bikes.
2. Having 2 Reavers drop to drones.
Ugh, neither choice is very bearable.
Given the situations, I would have to say the first one was real, and the second one fake.
You stated that the toss guy in game 2 wouldn't fall for the vulture coax at first. So why would he fall for it at all.
The Toss with the reavers I can actually see happening.
He drops he starts killing, sees all the lings die, figures no threat from drones and manages back at base while homey pulls that micro to time the firing rate. Nothing is impossible. |

Perhaps the answer lies in the description. He has such stunning description in the first one, which he only "observed".
But in the second it was much more vague. The first time I read this guys "believe it or not" i went with the unlikely one thinking that hey made this report just because he had a messed up game.
But this is the seocond one I've read and this time I'm going with the second.
Bad Micro can be excused but godly micro can only be a stroke of luck.

| This is my first comment ever on a BR ... but anyway, heheh ... you cannot fool My Supremacy ... the first one is glaringly false ... 12 drones do NOT win against 5 reavers ... their attack is unupgradable and if toss had upgraded his reaver's armor or plaz shields then it would have been impossible ... reavers never lose against drones (unless there are like 20 to 1 ratio) ... nice try though. Better luck next time :) |
