I think Rakshasha makes the stronger case here. With the goon / reaver combo in the early game, the goons are not as susceptible to early lings which is what a lot of zerg players opt for.
In the same situation, if you had temp/goon or zel/goon/temp, your troops are much more susceptible to lings due to the fact that lings are swarming melee units and its much tougher to get off a good storm when they are swarming all around your goons and zealots.
As for the BR, good detail and great strats even though the game wasn't really close and its always nice to read about a game where a big name is playin' :-)

Yeah, it was good. Reaver Goon is so much better than zeal temp or zealogoon temp Haha silent. :)

From the Zerg point of view, I agree. If a Protoss foe has templar, I can't attack his main, but I can raid his expansions and expand like crazy myself. If he has reavers, however, I am usually in for some serious hurt.
Sunkens and/or lurkers in the mineral line are probably the best defense against reaver drops. Still, reavers outrange both lurkers and sunkens. *sigh*
Ideally, of course, you can kill the friggin shuttle before it ever arrives. |
