It seems like the terran should have been more agressive thus far, but he does have a resource advantage. Good stuff.. Im not a fan of waiting for the next installment - but im curious as to the end. |

| Good job...pretty well done for your first report. Good detail. I was able to follow the story without strain. One thing, like fagboy already mentioned, the image layouts seemed a disorganized. But otherwise, nice job! |

I usually think that going robotic tech is much better vs a heavy metal terran. Using observers all over prevent floating expansions, and zealot drops kill tanks on cliffs.
The toss is doomed fighting vs a heavy metal terran with 3:1 expansion difference |

It seems to me that terran has blown a couple of golden opportunities so far. He is being way too passive in my opinion.
I would definitely go with less compression. If you're gonna go for something graphic intensive, you might as well go all out. As long as its a quality report, you won't find me complaining.
I liked a lot of your layouts and found most of your pictures to be very helpful in keeping track of the action.
One small hint on the animated GIF. Try to center the screen over the area where most of the action will take place then just take repeated screenshots without moving. Your GIFs will look a lot smoother.
The only other gripe I have is that I hate this part 1, part 2 stuff. Put the whole thing in one report unless you're like WC3 and you hit the size limit... :-)
Keep up the good work though, this is some good stuff... :-)

Wow, hard to believe this was a "first" report, but I suspect you found this site from ethermoon.com's links. =)
I realize that some of the best reports have varied graphic styles within for each picture, but I suggest that until you become very comfortable with designing, stick to one or two picture styles that complement the text and background colors you chose. This is a minor concern, but since you asked for suggestions...
Overall though, you're off to a great start at battlereporting.

ok lemme get this straight:
the Terran has 3-4 operational bases and only FOUR factories?!?!? he has to get way more SCVs at his base. when i power as terran (or toss) i usually have a little bit of excess minerals, wo what i do is pump SCVs (or probes) to use up those extra minerals. i usually have 24+ peons at every mineral field for maximum results. plus when i use my NATURAL and MAIN only i can have like 9 gates pumpin goons/zeals/temps . its not that hard to power =]

Inssider, Don't worry about spam if it concerns the Ethermoon guys. I have talked to most of them and you won't find a nicer crew, IMHO. YRM is very cool, as far as I know and he might even remember me:) Well, maybe not, but Si7te will live on forever.
The report however is very good for any number that you have already done, let alone your first one. Everything that is "wrong" with your report Dref pointed out, since he knows what he is talking about I'll leave him to do that.
IMO though, it's very nice so-far and you should keep on reporting as long as you can^^

yes the terran was a dope, but i find the toss a dope aswell =]
the terran continued heavy metal which the toss was countering with goon containment
the toss was stupid for not expanding like mad he had map control, he needed more expantions to power more.

Awesome report, I agree with many of the previous suggestions in terms of format.
I also agree that with 3 expansions, I wonder why Terran had so few factories. With 3 expansions, I'd do two or three SCVs producing depots nonstop, like 8 factories, dual armories, then just macro with tanks/goliaths.
In the Terran breakout, I'm surprised I didn't see any psi storm (maybe I'm just blind :-b ) during that battle. A containment force starts with goons, but really needs lots of psi storm or dweb to support, not just one templar.
I also would have gone observors, and patrolled the start locations. One purpose of containment is to prevent him from easily establishing expansions. As Terran, I would have immediately taken both islands once I saw that Toss wasn't reconning.

| Great report so far. My main gripe with it is that on my browser (IE4 SP2 on NT) I have to highlight the text to be able to read anything other than the player names. Black on black just doesn't work for me :-) |
