Funny stuff, and fairly well written (not as good as the original find a clan IMHO), and the images were crisp and sharp, very easy to follow, but I mean come on... you were just newbie bashing. I've always enjoyed your BGH strats and other such fun games, but for whatever reason this didn't seem to be quite up to par with the others that you've done. Plus, even though you are the big guy himself, Drefsab, doesn't br.com look down on really one sided games? My 2 cents.

You see while you understand how the game works , invest time and thought in searching for new strats/better opponents , these people play for plain fun . They dont give a shit about the ladder , the micro or the macro , the ethics of 4 pooling or using the maphack , they dont give a flying shit who Zileas is or why dudey will have a heart attack b4 he hits 25 .
If you played games b4 the internet you probably know the feel , just a game , who gives a shit if I save and load every 5 min and type iddqd and idkfa .These people still play that way , cheat codes in single player and just plain fun on b.net .
I know to scate well on rollerblades this doesnt mean I will run with a closeline into joggin people .

I didn't say that I didn't like it, but rather that I dont think that its as good as some of your 'more famous works'. Obviously its hard to follow a report that got straight 10's though. As for newbie bashing, I was sort of trying to sort out how br.com feels about the sport. Is it ok if its well done, or do raters automatically dock points if its incredibly 1 sided? Just to let you guys know, I don't do these reports as a showcase to my awesome SC skills. Those who have played me know that I'm not the best SC player around.
I just found it humorous that a clan that has been around since the inception of SC would be so lame. I didn't get a screenshot of it in the chatroom, but this guy said to me, "We know our shit".
I just found the whole situation humorous and decided to share it. I'm not trying trying to live up to any standards. I don't try to make each report better and better. I just try to relate experiences that I have on B.Net.
Anyway, I'm rambling now. I guess I'm having a hard time responding to the critics who say this reports lacks "soul" or whatever. That's kind of vague... :(
Anyway, thanks for the comments, just tryin' to brighten up a BR.com that has been rather report dreary lately...

Hey, dref. I havn't always been a large fan of your reports. (especially your BGH ones) But, that is just an opinion. I thought your BGH ones were funny, but they lacked the game play that was needed.
This report however was about beating on 3 (or so) people who had been playing SC since it's 'berth'. That in fact is just humerous to me.
Well, I enjoyed this one, but, Interactive clan recruitment would be better.....no way you could lose.

But i've been friends iwth a old clan called Moh(Millitia Of Hades.) they started out as demo players but when i, and them got the full version, they played and juunk, and did good. then it faded away, cause i gave my CD to a friend(and didn't get i back for 5 months) when i returned, i saw a bunch of JAPS in channel MOH, these arent the ones you were talking about.(there were around 30 guys in the channel, all with the JAP starcraft tag on them).
Concerning the game, DON'T YA JUST LOVE DOING THAT?
I remember in the demo, where hacks ran wild, I killed hundreds of idiots. (except one that STILL plays the demo, and I want my revenge on him[the feared, yet hated by all, Mov@do_(elite)]

man, i tried to write some comments yersterday, (when there were only a handful comments) but my ISP f'ed up AGAIN...
well, the report itself was funny, the clan leader was funny, yer opponents were funny, and everything was funny....
but you know what lingered in my head all this time? that these people will NEVER learn.... no matter how many "regular" people come in and bash them, no matter how many times people backstab them in the name of "justice", no matter how many times their account gets reset for ladder-abusing, they will not change...
no, no, i'm not talking about yer report at all, dref.. i LOVED yer report... it was like a side track...your BR made me think....
i just felt sorry for these people, although they are having fun, because so much people are laughing at them... and they don't care.

I'd like to respond to EvilBob, who complained about backstabbing:
A few times, people have tried to backstab me in pubbie games because they think that they're better than me. These are generally games in which I've been sitting back and playing defensively while the partner rolls over everyone... concluding that since I haven't made any decisive attacks, I must suck, the partner then turns his wrath on me.
As far as I can remember, every time that this has happened, I wound up mopping the floor with his head. The instant his troops fire on mine, I begin powering, and his base is gone in a matter of minutes. It generally ends with him saying "I was just kidding, ally up now." And I say "Ally? What's that?"
So to all those who complain about being backstabbed, and saying it's impossible to defend against (I had some compstompers, who I beat 1v2, mind you, complain about that to me once), I say shut the hell up. :)
And all maphackers must be backstabbed. This is the Code of the West. |

One of these days I'm going to make my own version of BGH. I'll have it so when the game starts all the players see the word "Gay" on the minimap in nice big readable writing, and I'llreduce it to 7 mins with 1500 minerals and one geyser, and I'd widen the choke points. I have a feature request for you. Have you been to www.scbackstab.com? Pretty funny shit. Well, what I think would be great was if you were to join a 2v2 game with a backstabber, and FIGHT HIM BACK AND WIN. Let him try to backstab you, then crush him in the most humiliating way possible.

hey drefsab or any others who like it to slay newbies, i made the perfect map for you guys. its BGH vs Temple, it is just like the name sais, 1 side is BGH the other is temple.
it is imballanced as a map can be imballanced. this makes it much more humiliating if you beat the BGHer with your Temple resources :) i'm often in BW usa-1000, and sometimes in nohunters (if there is place between the bots) if you want it, just ask and you get the map, if im not there there will always be someone else who has it. all the BW usa-1000 regulars have it.

lol dref.. just my opinion. I've read most of your reports and they were funny for a while, but I know when I watch a back-and-forth battle with assaults on the expansions and bizarre strats and awesome micro etc. etc. it's a little more exciting.
Take ww3 for example. Well, that's the ultimate example of a BR, and if anyone tops that then well that would be amazing. But some attempts to reach that level would be gratifying.
BTW, dref... I'm running a tournament through SC:Cloaked this weekend... would you like to do a guest BR on the final game?
