| Dont know enough about the game, but it doesnt seem like this style of report suits a FPS. Perhaps if you took it in the first person, or were more poetic about it. |

Granted I haven't played much half life, but it seems to me that there is a LOT of details missing if you only use 1 page to write about a 3 and a half hour match.
You blast through all these maps and tactics without even taking the time to explain to the reader what they are or how they work.
Describe the battles, describe the action, maybe include some diagrams of the maps... I don't know. But these HL reports need something because I am just not getting anything out of them.
(Even in SC reports, writers usually include a pic of the map they play on (unless its lost temple)).

I've played Half-Life. The game is <i>really</i> awesome, but this report lacks A LOT of detail. Add pictures!
HL pictures would be awesome; personally I'd like to see you keep writing HL reports just because it's something different. But you need to improve and explain a little about the game to those of us that haven't played the game.

| This reports kicks but not that much, it needs screen shots, its also very hard to write a br with any first-person shooter, because i've tried to write a TFC report and that was nearly impossible with everyone doing their own thing, just incorperate some screen shots and try to tell what strats people plan on doing =) |

Hmmm, an interesting overview of the games but not much more. I have seen some really good narratives of Half-Life games, I forget where though. The problem I think with detailing a Half-Life game here is that most people dont understand what is going on and it makes it hard to rate.
Of course on the other hand I am sure someone who has never played SC but always plays Half-Life would find a SC BR confusing as well. It makes me happy that people are branching out, but I think it will be a while before we ever see a quality FPS report. |

Ok, You say add pics eh? Ok, But my pics are 1024x748 so its a rather large pic and no, you cant just cut out the part on the screen where the action is because its all over the screen, try to cut it up and you get nothing unless you're viewing the action from 50+ ft. away... I suppose I could put my pic's on a my web server and use html to display the image from my server in the reports... Also, about my first report! It looked really messed up at the end because I used Dream Weaver to make use of the HTML and junk and that messed up the layout... Could you tell me how wide the display area is exactly so I can customize my program to make it look better?

Im glad someone is trying to br cs games. CS ownz yer bones lol. One thing you could do is just resize the pics, but i agree with you saying that it wouldn't show all of the action.
BTW - if you have half-life, go download CS at www.counter-strike.net. It is by far the best half-life mod in my opinion. I got addicted though =[ stopped playing sc for almost 2 months for counter-strike

| Trebbit, you could always, I dunno, RESIZE the pictures. Just because you Screenshot them at a large size doesn't mean you can't shrink em. |
