Nice flash. We don't see those much anymore and we enjoy them. Your style of writing depecting the zerg almost as a military like race. It didn't really like it. I mean the overmind controls the minds of the zerg units. So he doesn't order them. Also giving metals to units? Well enough about what I didn't like.
The format was nice. The text and the pics described the battle very well. Do more flash! I love flash, it's just cool. Also on islands it's all about mutas and containment in a z vs z. SO I am surprised you took him down. Great Job!

I mean c'mon, if someone sends in an absolute ownage game, but text-only, It would not have gotten high ratings. This report was fuckin awesome, and the fact that the game sucked, well, he couldnt do anything about it right? I'd give it an 9!
And then, no music. DOH. How many reports have we seen that got music? It is as if the US got the statue of liberty and the congress said "its nice, too bad it isnt in pure gold". I think, if someone like Drefsab would have submitted EXACTLY THE SAME report, everybody would be in heaven and it would have gotten a 10. Or higher. Freakin hypocrites! |

Like everyone said, it wasn't the most nail-biting battle in the world, but your awesome writing made me forget that. I think your format of the Zergs being a military unit, and therefore recieving awards, panicking under fire, etc, worked well (I have written a couple reports personifying the Zerg myself).
I can't remember the exact wording, but the part where the Overlords were intercepted by Scourges and fell mortally wounded into the ocean with their cargo screeching had me in stitches.
"Horrified, the remaining Overlords managed to unload..." Good God I was seriously laughing my freaking ass off; it was the Zerg equivalent to Saving Private Ryan. Please, keep writing reports! The site needs you!!

Guess its a matter of personal taste. Personally prefer to depict the zergs as more feral, primitive rather than disciplined, military units. Perhaps substituting medals for 'food' or 'terran meat' would be more appropriate.
what am i talking about. it was a posthumous medal... hm...

Sorry to say this BUT:
The last couple of days (weeks, whatever) we've seen BR with great pics and OK writing (maybe smetimes a little below average, but that's usually OK). Those reports weren't rated high though, as we kept telling the authors:<b>BR A GOOD GAME</b> and not a stupid runover like this.
Back to this one.
In all, this BR isn't more than a runover and a bad one if you ask me. Further the writing isn't <i>that</i> good (above average though) and just because he knows how to use Flash, which is, I admit, very cool, everybody gives out 9's and 10's. Strange...
It seems the only persons that give out a normal rating for this BR are the raters themselves. Well, maybe that's why they are raters after all.
I really don't think this BR is worth more than an
<font color=blue size=5>8</font>
So I'll give you that (but keep in mind that you scored 5 of those points for your really awesome use of flash...)

| i agree with phoenix. the game was an excuse for my flash "wrapper". heh. my first battle report was written much better. no graphics, but it got a 7 .. i got the flash idea and played for like 5 days trying to get a good game and this was the most interesting one :/ |

Am I the only one who didn't like this report?
I think FLASH characterized this report nicely, it was nothing but weak writing and a poor game wrapped up in a flashy package.
Perhaps we should re-analyze why we read battle reports: Are we looking for an interesting game or a game which improves one's skill...or are we looking for pretty pictures with little meaning or value?
I won't presume to give this report a rating, since i'm not a rater...but I am disgusted with the praise this mediocre report has recieved.

Very cool use of flash, but like always, one-sided mediocre writing. I think a comment brought up in a past report (was it Sp|ne's?) might help all the writer-wannabees out there. If you read the report and can follow the action WITHOUT pics, THEN add pics :-) Great idea tho

I thought the flash design was pretty ass-kicking. But all in all, it was more of a let down to read. I was sooo ready for a game of the same caliber of that Flash, but it didn't come.
It's a good report, but I feel gipped.
You can make up for it by making a "choose your own adventure" one in Flash<i>!!!</i>

Let me just say this, (VV) is very very gay. I'm assuming Onyx is one of their top members. Compared to their other members, Onyx is almost as good as I am compared to, say, the newbie clan with no name because they are too newbieish to realize they needed a name (yes, I do realize this is a very poor analogy, but its late, so shut up.). X_Mage_X thank you for judging me on one report. if you read above, you might see where i point out that it was a one-sided match and i didn't really think i did that great a job with the writing. i think it was far from sucking though. as for my SC skills, i can safely say i don't suck at that either. although i wouldn't say i'm great, i have been over 1300 on ladder without abusing of any kind.
