Whew, barely made it. It is 11:33pm my time (i'm on Central). It would have been up sooner, but I ended up being gone all afternoon and I got talked into going to the 9:00 showing of <i>Gone in 60 Seconds</i> (Nice cars but that's about it). I got home and still had to upload the pictures to Geocities.

Ha! If I took the time to read the report first I wouldn't have made the top ten! Now that I've read it my compliments. Excellent report Dref on a brilliant game! The resiliancy of the zerg (and those who played them) shine through.
Just a minor grammatical comment: I've seen the word "adieu" used in many reports in the expression, "without further adieu." This is wrong. "Ado," the contraction for, "to do," should be used instead. Don't thank me just send money...

Pitt and I did a really good job of communicating the whole game. We also chose different techs. Hydra drops and Muta/ling. I think that if Pitt kept sending lings with then we could have ended it quicker, but he only sent the 1st 6 lings while I kept sending more.
Great game by our opponents and I am impressed with toss's ability to get back into the game. Dref as always great details, and you remembered things that I did that I don't even remember! Your the man!

Yeah Fox! I knew you had it in you! I was reading the match thing, and I saw Z+Z vs T+P, at first I was just, no contest, but then I knew that it wouldn't be a kickin' report unless there was a monkey wrench thrown in the mix, and that monkey wrench was you. Bitchin game, and way to win me 10 points >). As always (or at least the last 5-6 reports) I'm doing my little comment thing.
Writing: Top of the line. There are very few BR's that actually keep me on the edge of my seat, and although this is partially because of the game, I would say it's mostly because of the writing. Kept the pressure on, the way you described things. Flowed well, easy to read, no grammar errors (except that one about the 18 hydras, but that's not really grammar, and I knew what you meant anyway). Obvious kudos.
Images: Crisp, clear, nothing incredibly fancy, but very easy on the eyes, and constant minimap updates. Those really help. The borders are good too. Unfortunately no collages (I love collages as you may have guessed from reading any of my stuff), but it just doesn't matter, as what you have is done so well.
Appearance: Yay, the colours aren't nearly as homosexual as they were in the first contest BR, and that's a damn good thing. SC is a tough, lumberjack kinda game! (sidenote: =P). In a word, sharp.
Overall: Bitchin' as always. I'm glad that you're for sure going to be releasing 1 a week for the next 8.

Oh yeah, I must say that 60 seconds was a kickass movie. More than just pretty cars, it had sex and violence and car CHASES and explosions. It might as well be a biography of me. <i>insert fantasy world theme here</i> =P

What I think fooled most folks was the nearly 30 min length of the game (side question: what was the game speed?). I figured the longer the match the better the terran/toss duo's chance for success. However, due to the early game <ahem> gayness, fox and pitt were able to build their troops to that critical zerg mass.
Can the games continue to get better? I certainly hope so. |
