I completely acknowledge the fact that this is NOT a BR in any way, shape or form. It deserves a lowass score on BRs cuz it has almost nothing BR about it. But I must point at the fact that fanfic, including Drefsab's (no offense if any taken), isn't really a BR either. Its called a <b> Short Story</b> and should be considered as such, whether it involves Starcraft or my mother or anything else. This is funny as hell, I'd say funnier than <u>anything</u> (yes I mean absolutely anything, by the underline) else I've read on this site, and really shouldn't be rated at all. I have the strong opinion that no fanfic, no short 3rd person dialogues with mysterious beasts should be rated, but raters have shown no compunctions about rating fanfic and other stories, including drefsab's (i mention this again because I don't feel its fair to give some people high ratings on their non-BR BRs because you know them opposed to this guy's non-BR BR that you <don't> know). So damnit just don't rate things that aren't BRs, you can acknowledge their humor through comments. This is a BR site, if you want to acknowledge people's fiction writing abilities, make another forum. But I find it really sad that raters and other people are disparaging things like this from unknown authors and highly praising <blink> and rating </blink> things from popular writers...I quote bob_the_newt's comment above "fah its bs anyone who likes dref's recent stuff and not this can go to somewhere bad". this is my view I don't care if its disregarded but more should be said about this subject. And damnit a friggin' yeti has made me write a rant. I don't know whether to laugh or hug my snuggles bear.

I was putting off reading this for a while, but when I saw that it didn't get deleted and actually has 52 comments, I figured I might as well.
I'm afraid I have to agree with M4 on this one. The only line I found remotely entertaining was the one about penguins, but that's not because of any wit on the Yeti's part, but rather the fact that I find penguin an immensely funny word. I found the 3rd person approach very annoying and tedious, and although I do praise you for trying a new idea, I think this was one better left on the drawing board.
BTW, Dref's stuff is 'risque' but it's funny, well written, and not a massive load. It has characters with personalities. Try those, you may find it works better than shallow one joke wonder people. Hell, Jeff K has a better wit than Yeti. To each their own of course though.

The biased rating:
We start at a 4. Why 1 higher? This reminded me of the penguin war comics I used to draw back at my old school. Heh - I was an artist God back in those days. Then I moved on to the bigger school, and there were many talented artists. I didn't get the recognition I did back at the little wee school. I was one of the best, but no longer the clear cut best.
And also, penguin is a kick ass funny word! Just sound it out people! <b>Pen-g-u-in!!!<b> Nifty eh? (Well, I think so...)

I think the unseen, inside joke is that Yeti probably posted a whole bunch in the forum and people thought it was humorous, and for whatever reason a thread might've started, telling him to write a BR. Then they see a BR posted by him, and maybe expecting a game.. and then finding this.
