I should mention that on the American show battlebots, Brittish bots came over and competed and the field was swept by American bots. :o In fact, not a single British bot won, in the 3 weight classes :o(

| Surely having centred text doesn't detract from the report itself though, does it? I honestly couldn't be that descriptive, either- I could have taken pictures, but they just would have been incredibly fuzzy (they are with televisions) and actually detract from the main report. It was also quite late at night when I got round to reporting it, too- and I can't describe a robot's technicalitites in the same way as whether someone is going M&M or Heavy Metal, can I? |

I described the battles quite well given the circumstances, though don't you agree?

I'm not here to get in an argument about what is better- USA or Britain. Both Britons AND Americans referred to the constest as a 'War of Independence'. The only reason why I called the US robots crap is because, other than Frenzy (which still had a fatal flaw), they WERE crap, with bad design and poor weapons.
Look, does it really matter whether I say "I love Britain" or "I love Kosovo" or "I love Egypt" of "I love Turkey" or "I love Russia"? The real meat of the report is the report itself (duh!). My patriotism is just an opinion, and I will respect yours, as long as you don't spout complete rubbish. |

I've only seen the US show, and from what I've seen, most of our bots can totally wreck yours. This was written from a slightly(and I mean that very lightly) prejudice angle, and that's a detraction of 2 points. Centered text would be a distraction of 1, the lack of any background information would be another point, but finally, the constant feeling of, "WTF is he trying to say? USA sucks? Britain owns? Huh?" takes down 1 as well.

Pardon me, but I'm from "the bad old United States of America," and when you say Britain's idiots were shipped off over here, that angers me. I have nothing against Britain at all, but I do have something against you when you say that the USA is a country full of idiots.
But seriously, your report is lacking. For one thing, you hardly go into enough detail about the specific bots, and with them changing constantly, you don't understand the specifics. I've seen bot rounds too- unless you get off by seeing metal hit each other at EXTREME(20 Mph...) speeds, it's not that exciting.
Find something else to BR... and try not to take personal offense when someone actually proposes constructive critiscism about your report. You'll never get better that way.
Oh, and btw, the pics did nothing to help besides make me wonder why you put them in. Try and get pics that actually relate to what you're battle reporting instead of still images of bots.

well, i think this proved one thing, and one thing only. We Americans are stupid. Very stupid. Excedingly stupid. Someone says "Britain beat the U.S" and immediatly we all say "but we saved you in two(three????) wars!". WTF!!!! I dont even know how many ways that proves were stupid. Finally, just because no one has mentioned it already- technically we saved them. sort of. excpet by the time we joined world war 1 everyone was so weak its obvious we could have won. world war two, again we join once it seems like britain is winning.
And actually, the theory about shipping the idiots over to America would make a lot of sense. I mean, we had to rely on French help in the Revolutionary war. French!!!! That and we managed to kill a bunch of drunk germans.....wow, our accomplishments go on and on.
