<I>""What's the room number Iggy?"
"I don't know man, I forgot?"
"Look I'll add another hundred, okay?"
"That's great but I still can remember man, like seriously."
"Look if you give me your keys and tell me what room number it is, I'll give you another fifty and I'll buy you dinner."
"Can I get a tuna melt?"
"Yes Iggy you can get a tuna melt."
"Awesome man, here's the key to the Penthouse Suite. Just be sure to give it back man."
"No problem Iggy."</i">
LOL!
Monty, you have found the type of fiction that we all like - a refreshing change. Shock's had an first-person perspective element that was greatly appreciated with emotion, and this one along with your last offers a great change.
Keep making these, Monty. Never get into the old StarCraft universe again until you know you can make a "WOW" experience. This stuff is great reading. |

| Hmmm, didn't catch the C & H reference the first time through. |
| #12 Monty Pylon[83685] |

| I got the idea from a old Dick Tracey cartoon and I also got the idea for the Iggy character from Ceech and Chong. I still don't know who Tracer Bullet is??? |

"I always have two magnums in my desk, ones a .357, I keep it load and the other is a bottle, it keeps me loaded."
It's not a direct quote, but it is very similar to a C & H cartoon. I can see why people could confuse it for plagiarism. |
| #14 CynicalMagician[83688] |
| px3cl.gv.wave.shaw.ca |
| You jacked stuff right out of Calvin and Hobbes. It was a decent idea, but for absolutely blatant plagurism. My ass you don't know who Tracer Bullet is. When you copy something word for word out of a C&H book and then lie about it, that pisses me off. And yes, the part about 'philosophical arguments' and 'a friend who's close to my heart, just down and to the left actually' is a direct quotation from C&H. Any previous respect for you has gone straight down the toilet, putting your useless ass right in the sewers next to the belt. Stay the hell away, you copy-cat, lying fuck. |
| #15 SqueakyMonkey[83689] |

| HAHAHA, The-Belt. |
| #16 CynicalMagician[83691] |
| px3cl.gv.wave.shaw.ca |
By the way, here's your quote:
"A friend who is very close to my heart, a little down and to the left, but close nonetheless. My friend is a very prolific speaker, he made three profound arguments while I excused myself from the room. I always leave when the talk gets philosophical"
and here's C&H, straight from the book, not memory or anything like that.
"A friend who's very close to my heart. Just a little down and to the left, to be specific. My friend is an eloquent speaker. He made three profound arguments while I excused myself from the room. I always leave when the talk gets philosophical."
and now here's your other quote.
"I still don't know who Tracer Bullet is???"
Shithead. I hope a cat craps down your throat. |

| Ah yes I remember reading C+H, and seeing lil' Calvin leaning back on his chair with his legs perched up on the desk puffin a smoke. Then reading this I might consider calling Bill Watterson and sending him this, although he probaly has a trillion dollars, he might sue you for everything you have, maybe not. |
| #21 Monty Pylon[83713] |
| gateway.Culinary.EDU |
| OK....I would first like to say I am sorry that i aparently copied C+H. However I honest to God do not know who the hell Tracer Bullet is. If you ask me who he is i would tell you I have no idea. I was watching Dick Tracy and I came up with the idea. At the same time I recalled these lines. I thought they were funny and wanted to put them in. A C+H connection or any connection did not strike me when I wrote this. I would never deliberatly copy something on purpose and I am sorry. I can only hope to aspire to your level of perfection where people do not make mistakes and spit upon us mortals. |
#22 [83717] |

You should have just said "Yup, I love C+H too and was giving a shout out in there. Plz Mark4 almighty br god, put a little blurb in the bottom giving credit to C+H, sorry for not remembering to do this when I wrote it. I must have been drunk, like I usually am on school nights."
Then we would all say, "hey no problem, that was pretty funny man." and enjoy your report where as your denial, true or not, looks incredibly weak. |
| #23 SqueakyMonkey[83719] |
| syr-24-92-253-127.twcny.rr.com |
| Whoa, Cyn, missed that one completely. I only own two of the C&H books, so I've only seen a few of the Tracer Bullet cartoons. |

| its friendly plagarism, people get mocked all the time on this site, including me (i'm hated by the fiery people, like poa, i'm a lamer who cheats) iggy, you're generally hated by the community, though this is not completely your falt, I'd say that your stupid forum posts and talking about trying to hack into the administrator spot, and putting lots of forum posts (even stupider than mine) feel free to get mad at me, but if I were you, I'd make a new name, and try to refrain from making lots of stupid forum posts |
