Contrary to Strega's useless advice, as far as text-only reports go, it wasn't too, bad. I think you could have been a little less objective though, as apart from the last line of the report, it was like reading a newspaper article: factiually corrct, but dull
Try to add a little more humour, or character to it, it had no feeling to it. It's hard top tell someone how to do that, but basically, YOU played the game, how did you feel at any point? what were you going through? Get a little more emotive and involved when writing for the simple reason that people who don't care about the players in the game tend not to care for the game. Thus it's just a hollow read. You did get involved sometimes, but yyou need to add something quite special to text-only reports as you don't have any pictures to bail you out (if your writing is sub-standard). Look at mine for example, they aren't written all that well, but got fairly good marks for the overall layout and pictures, but the one report i DID get into a lot more got an 8.7 because i tried to make the people reading it get behind one of the players from the start, and sort of root for them.
Anyway, that's just my opinion, take it or leave it as you will

| Well Shit. Somehow, I'm supposed to take pics of a game wich I played weeks ago, and while my teacher was walking around checking my AutoCAD projects, and before I even heard of battlereports.com. You say there isn't enough humor? I thought this thing was chock full (IE: dissapearing zealots, ultralisk bouncers, marines drugging themselves, miniature carriers etc.) I just can't please some people. My guess is that you were overwhelmed by all the words (some of them were quite big) and you just skimmed through it. A thorough read of this is actually quite rewarding (Yes I have shown it to other people). Don't worry my shallow little moths, next time I will have lots of pretty pictures with cool graffiti to keep your attention span, and I will try to use words with 8 letters or less. And yes Ling-erie, your reports own, I bow down. |

| Actually Khas, back around when this site started, people felt the same way - everyone had that little thing at the end. It's going in a cycle because of the influx of newer people. |

Yea I know, but the problem is, a lot of the people are scared away by the BR password. The problem is, people are lazy =/
I think maybe something that would be a little better would be if a battlereport must be reviewed by some kind of rater before it is posted to the public. That way, it's easier for the random reporters just to post something. If the raters see something that is not allowed or something that is just absolutely horrible, then they could have the option to delete it. However, say, 2-3 votes for deletion would be needed, because every once in a while a rater will just flat out hate a BR, while everyone else will like it.
Of course, our lazy-ass raters may not like this idea ;) |

How did you manage to take notes on a game that long in your CAD class, especially when you were supposed to be doing something else *wink*? I agree with Ling, although I think it was somewhat better than he said. I also didn't catch a single spelling or grammatical error in this br, but I only read it once, fast, so....
6.5, 7.5 if not counting lack of pics, you could've used some humor though. |

Erm, re-read my comments please, and read them from a point of view of trying to learn from mistakes. What i said was not a bunch of flames or arrogant statements, i was using my reports as an example of how pictires alone don't cut it.
I was only trying to be helpful, and i still am, you had some humour, well done, but there was no "feeling" as i put it, and i stil think that's the case, it was as if you didn't really care except for one bit where u rejined teh game after it being un-paused by your freinds.
This is my last comment, i don't intend to reply to you any more or read this section to see what u have written as i no longer care. If you can't take constructive critisism, then don't bothe reading the comments section.

I liked it because it was text only... All of the players were horribly bad at starcraft, but that's ok, because thats not what it's about, it's about sex, and drugs, and ultralisk bouncers... I liked the Lesson learned = That guy sucks at every race... that was funny :)

| I'm a big fan good text only, and this is good. Not perfect, but good. A lot of people get a 6 because while their grammar and spelling suck, they get a good rating because people are too lazy to read. IT'S A REPORT, PEOPLE, NOT A PICTURE BOOK! This should get an 8 i think, due to humor and clarity. One thing I might suggest though, is to color the names of the players, even if you can't remember the right color. It makes it easier to follow without the pics (not that I couldn't follow it). |

(1) "I begin with a barracks at 5 (worried about them lings) and supply depots at 7 and 9 . . ." On Gettysburg? get real. Even with a rax on 10, by rallying into your peon line, you'll be able to waste early lings. Assuming you can micro.
(2) "It was a loose one though, enough room to fit marines and vultures through, but not enough for goons or hydras . . ." Hydras and vults are the same size.
(3) "I set a few mines around to prevent probes from running out . . ." Huk. Probes hover, like SCV's. Mines can't touch them.
Otherwise, good text, decent macro. But play some real competition if you want to get better.
