#1 .Praetor[2303]
Horrible title. And don't complain just cause you can't deal with a single spell. Ever think of Sci Vessels and Irradiate. Thought not.
#2 Bob the Newt[2304]
Yeah toss are too strong if you forget to get broodling/irridate, and everyone forgets sometime, but you can't blame that on imbalance (broodling costs WAY too much though).
#3 ronin~[2305]
it seems like we have the same problems with terran. i can never seem to attack well enough with them. I've seen many good players rock with other races, but when playing terran they turtle like fiends, build to nukes and slowly kill off the other person. I can't believe that terran was meant to be played this way. i guess i sux...end of story. and temps are easy to stop, u just have to be good at it and make sure they aren't surrounded by 40 $#^%ing cannons [yes i'm talking to u mark] hehe.
#4 [FLS]prozerran[2311]
Hell when had you see my terrans turtle? I hardly build 2 bunkers per base! Lots of times not even one! what da hell are you smoking?!

1 bunker 1 turret 1 tank is way better then 2/3 cannons. Plus for every race you should get a hell lots of troops all da time anyways, not defense!

Well, maybe that's cuz I sux. =( But I saw lots of peeps good at terran doesn't sit back and wait for nukes.

#5 Fractal[2314]
Psi Storm is the whole point of Protoss....other wise zerg would roll right over them...

it's not as useful vs. terran, but still

#6 GhOsT~lizard[2316]
Um....FLS I didn't sit back. I tried to push him but my push got psied. And don't tell me I suck. I played tarranau terran/toss and it was a close game and tarr's a very good player. I tried to push but PSI killed me all the time. EMP does shit cuz temp can just move over and avoid it, I feel that I was a better player in that game and Deserved to win.
#7 [FLS]prozerran[2318]
Ghost, I wasn't really responding to you, but to ronin, who claim every terran will have to attack only with nukes but nothing else.

I've seen many good players rock with other races, but when playing terran they turtle like fiends, build to nukes and slowly kill off the other person.

Basically I was responding to this statement.

BTW, tarr rocks. Play his terran with your toss and you'll see.

#8 JSH[2325]
You made too many barracks and not enough factories. 6 rax and 2 fac? I would have that the other way around. Rax units die horribly to storm. You should know that.
#9 -StickmaN-[2333]
Storm is an essential Protoss spell. Without it the Protoss would have a lot of trouble dealing with enemy infantry. Goons are not much good for this (due to explosive damage) and Zealots get chewed real bad by ranged units. Storm isn't even really enough by itself anyway, thats why Protoss got maelstrom too. Winning StarCraft is all about finding ways to counter enemy tactics, that's what makes it so great. Without some of their advanced units and spells (especially storm) the Protoss would be horribly weak. The only Terran imbalance is that they require so much micro, which takes a hell of a lot of practise.
-StickmaN- thinks he'll get hated real fast if he keeps getting on this soapbox...=P heheh
Also, in response to a previous comment, if broodling were cheaper it would be too powerful.(Bye bye tanks)

Note: I do not think I'm some sort of Terran guru or anything, in fact they are my least favorite race. I am simply stating my personal opinion on Starcraft, I don't think I know all the answers. Those who disagree with what I said please offer alternatives, as I am always looking to expand my knowledge of StarCraft tactics.(Main reason why I come to this site)

I think StarCraft is a well balanced game and blizzard really must have worked a hell of a long time to get it this even...

Note2: Despite suspicions that may have been aroused by that last statement, I do not work for blizzard =P

#10 -StickmaN-[2334]
Ahh shit. That bit between the notes wasn't supposed to be in italics...must have missed a tag. Not that it really matters.

Heheh. That last message took up a lot of space didn't it. I think maybe I went a bit overboard. =P

#11 Lemuroo[2338]
Your fault.

Your recon failed to tell you that temps were in play.

Your recon let a temp sneak up on you.

And it was your bad to have your marines all clumped up.

Imbalance played a part in your loss, i can admit that, but player error played had a much greater role

#12 GhOsT~lizard[2346]
I knew he had temps but aside from emp there wasn't much i could really do. I emped some of em but emp's radius sux, terran are still fun to play though:) And on that day I did compensate by owning a toss, 4 exps to 0 hehe. I bunkered that bastard in and he couldn't even get close to psi, he did however MC 2 tanx:(
#13 patheto[2347]
There are basically two things I'd do against a hard templar strat, nuking does not belong to them.
1):Systematic irradiation
With 4 or so SVs you can keep up irradiate runs all day, and 75 energy of an SV for 50/150 isn't bad at all.Even if the SV is killed you are likely to gain from the death of 2-3 temps.
2.) Ion-propelled vultures as assasins
4 vultures kill a temp with one salvoe, and you pay about 50 of the 75 min for the mines, not the vultures, so they are a real bargain.
#14 DisgruntledApe[2349]
Tarr's terran is good? Never really seen it in action. Heh, I beat his terran with zerg yesterday (supposedly harder for the zerg). Well anyways Ahscar owns with terran. And I never build bunkers. Half the time I die because of it but I just hate bunkers. They aren't mobile which sucks. ):
#15 Blank[2362]
Nothing really to say, I just wanted to post a smiley....

=)

Thanks for your time=P
#16 [FLS]prozerran[2364]
Ape: I was just being a dick to Agent. =) I hate bunker. I found their only use was to stop a double zealot rush, or tank push on toss. Oh and of course, cheaper expansion defense.
#17 Snowreaver[2380]
Yeah, sure, it's easy to counter Toss spells, right, okay, you're the man... I don't feel like goin' back to see who said it was easy, but that's about the dumbest statement I've heard yet. Possible, yes, easy, not by a god-damned longshot. ;P
#18 Bob the Newt[2392]
Hey! Where'd my comment go? Dammit. Well I was just telling stickman that I think broodling should be 125 so a fully upgraded queen can cast it twice. And terrans shouldnt complain about queens being able to fry their tanks, sci vessels can fry anything zerg has for 75.
#19 Sync[2395]
Had nothing to do with imbalance. He was better than you. Period.
#20 ralessi[2402]
to stop psi storm put your marines in bunkers on the push and have 4 vultures blitz temps... 4 vultures getting off 1 volley kills a temp...also irradiate / emp
#21 GhOsT~lizard[2410]
Its really easy to talk about but hard to pull off all the micro while making units back at home.
#22 -StickmaN-[2413]
Good point Bob, 125 probably would be better. I thought before that you meant like 100 or 75 or something.
#23 patheto[2425]
One thing, ghost~lizard:
hotkey your production buildings, and ALL your micro goes to the battlefield.
#24 GhOsT~lizard[2434]
I hotkey my units man, can't waste hotkeys on factories and shit:)
#25 Heartcutter[2435]
To tank push a prot, you´re gonna need time where he isn´t looking. Psi can tear up a push if you don´t have the time to begin your offensive bunkers. I typically bring 14-16 marines, 3-6 meds and 4 scvs. If i get seen while approaching, PSI will tear me up... BUT if i can at least get close to the enemy and begin 4 bunkers simultaneously, it gives me the crucial foothold that I need to begin pushing correctly. You may want to plan to create a distraction with a wraith or dropship while you take and solidify the ground, because once you have a foothold, there ain´t much that´s going to make a terran push stop.
#26 GhOsT~lizard[2462]
Heartcutter is god!!!!!!!
#27 Johnny_Vegas[2463]
Hey Heartcutter when are you going to post again dude? Your reports kick ass.
#28 Odin[2653]
look i dont know if your ever going to check back on this, but TESTING WITH TARRANAU IS NOT A GOOD THING HE SUX ASS! even when i didnt feel in my prime tarr was just a walk in the park to me, dont base any goodness that you think you are vs tarranau nuff' said =P
#29 Heartcutter[2801]
Ghost, Thanks for the props... ;)

As for playing again, I sure can't wait. Friday is my last day in Paris, then back to San Francisco. I should be online and playing Friday at around 6pm PST. I have to say one thing about the Eiffel Tower...

It was made to scare the shit out of me.

Too f'ing high. I've got a small fear of heights that hit me full on when I was going to the top. Chills, cold sweat, clammy hands. Nothing but a big fear rush. But when I was done, it was all cool.

And let me tell you about Amsterdam... Hehe. The things you can get for 100 Guilders ($50 US).

See you guys in nohunters on Friday, and I'll tell you what I got for my 100 Guilders (I actually paid 150, but it was worth every one).
#30 Tarranau[2958]
LOL is this the debate as to whether my terran sux or not?
or just the debate as to whether i sux or not?

In short, I sux, you sux, we all sux, so saying that i sux
is not going to change a thing about the whole deal.

Tarranau

Just thought I'd comment on your last "Lesson"

I started playing zerg right off the bat when I bought starcraft (soon after it's release) I never was much good, so I played protoss for a while, I never was much good at them either, terran, I just plain SUCKED, I didn't have the paitence to set up the tanks, to build the bunkers, to wait for the dropships, to point the nukes, I just couldn't do it, but it was cool to try, my fav race is zerg, cuz I love to just see a bunch of green stuff flying at burning buildings....

But I recently switched back to terran (after my one map-one race wonder on dire straights with double lairs and about 36 hydras falling on a silly protoss player that seems to think he can get out enough corsairs to stop nine overlords from landing there evil cargo on the ground, to quickly decimate the 2 pylon, gateway, forge, cy core, starport base.
