I just say as the others, really great br! The flash stuff inbetween was good idea, but I don't think it's any fun to see expansions and main bases, so I just looked at the map when they came. Pictures was good, nice stuff.

Great work dude, from what I was downloaded so far I see you're the first person to really try using flash in a more advanced way INSIDE the report. King-Lewis, Testo's and mine had just flash intros, and the so called "full flash" reports were just normal reports with buttons to swap pages instead of scrolling
In the past I had thought about similar ways to use flash - to select battlescenes or expansions on the minimap, to see upgrades of units in screenshots, maybe replay some battles/tactical moves step by step instead of using animated gifs etc, but I wondered if it is needed and never made it... It was fun to see those ideas weren't floating only in my mind but in yours too ^^. I think Testosterone had similar ideas too
I'll read it in the evening when my connection is faster and everything is fully downloaded -_-

For a different note from this praise, some constuctive critisism.
Pics are one thing, Title pics are a waste, but I'm afraid that the flash is nothing more than a sap in the face of anyone who's still using modems. The app showing unit upgrades was not only incorrect (the tank had the concussion grenade graphic and the zealot had a ranged attack icon on it), but it could have been said in a single sentance, saving a lot of load time.

The other flash apps wheren't much better, simply giving a visual to that which could be described perfectly. eg instead of a close-up of the terran main not showing anything notworthy, you could have said 'Matyr's main was mined out and he had only two peons on gas'.
NOT all of us have high-speed connects, and if i can play a 1v1 over a 28k modem in half an hour, why on earth should it take just as long to get a description of the fight? Personally, CB still wins the best reporter award, from most memorable/educational fights reported to writing style and practicality. |

REALLY nice br - the writing was good, and the images were great ( although no big collages - which is fine, it's you style =] ). The flash worked well, though it took me some time to d/l =D. I basically liked everything in the presentation - the layout was very smooth . . . and the little collages you did do were very nicely put together.
The one qualm I had with this was the fact that both games were pretty one-sided . . . I kept expecting the Terran to win in game one merely because that would ensure you'd get a 10! Game two, much the same. Oh well . . . still very nicely done - I know first hand how tough it is to get a truly great game!
I'd give this a 9 - but if the Terran had one in game one, and there wouldn't have been a game two, it could've been a 10 =). |

bit bitter there sere, but here'e the problem:
assuming that we DON'T go on to super-duper flashy stuff and artistic impression in reports, what scope do we have to utilise the advances in technology that allow flash etc. I don't think it's fair to say that we should all make our reports accomodate for the guy with the 5k modemand 386 pc cos there's just no point, you'd be writing all-texts only for years. You have to adapt to the average or whatever connections of ppl's machines. My PC is good, my connection sucks, but i can d/l the report and flash ok. I wouldn't expect ppl to have a worse connection than me (mine is real crappy --> 56k), but even if they do as some will, there's no point in writing a report and not utilising a new program just cos a few ppl will have to wait an extra couple of minutes to load it.
About 4 months ago, EVERY report had a "loads of pics, go make a sandwich" warning, i don't see the roblem with this addition. |

I myself have a 56k modem, so complaints about loading time are noted and filed accordingly.
Dag, I know both games were a bit dodgey, but I needed to have them to set the scene for game 3 which is by far the best, not one sided and full of action.

| My comment wasn't on the net BR size, but rather what I was waiting on. I have NO issues dling pics that do justice to the violence of certain encounters, I even silently mouthed the word 'ow' when I saw those storm pics. It's the 'let's make something uber 1337 but totally unneeded' that bugs me at times, such as page-deep pics having nothing but the author's name on it, or in this case, the flash thingies depicting the bo's and expansion status' - both of wich are arguably more descriptive/easyer to interpret in text format. |

Sere, I understand your comments. And I also agree that I could have described those things with pictures and text just as well.
But I would never know what other people thought of me doing it this way unless I tried it, right?
Also, I would never profess to be better than anyone else at reporting. Rather I just hope to add my own distinctive spin on a great concept.

A mind shaking report. I loved the graphics and layout plus your writing is easy to understand. Was simply a work of art. I really liked the flash stuff but maybe for people with slow connections you could use alt text or a table to describe what is happening in addition to the flash stuff. I don't think it would take too much longer and then everyone is happy. Anyways, congrats again and I'm anxiously awaiting the next report.

Am I the only person that see's the wrong flash at the beginning of game 2? no one else mentioned it, so im not sure. I am seeing the same flash as the final review in game 1.
Also, in the "click on me to see my upgrades" deal the zealot has a dragoon shot for his weapon. Not like anyone cares, though.
Otherwise, a flawless report imho. 10.
PS: Unless this took you 6 months to make, I am still not even going to bother with writing a report. |

I liked this report. You spent lots of time in this, I can tell, but you didn't spend the entire time show-casing what you did. It took me four refreshes to get it entirely loaded (I grabbed lunch while i was waiting), which was a good thing, seeing as how I got to view it in the way you meant it to be. All in all, these two were great players and a few above-average games, but once again, pvt had them written off from the begining.
I'd give this sucker a 9 because it didn't include game three, which im hoping is the best of all. Release it soon! Before everyone forgets! |

The only problem i saw with this report that really needs to be flamed is the temple stats flash at the start of game 2 otherwise i think it a good reports, i didnt like looking at mains much I woulda preffered seeing the battle zooms but i can deal with it. Kudos for a great BR now on to others i must kill more flamers.... kill more flamers... more...

Might as well say, awesome report! Flash movies were cool, and I don't mind downloading them... but as others have said, I would rather see some more interesting stuff, not empty mains. :) I loved the build order flash though! Soooooooo much easier to communicate it that way!
You write very well, and kept me guessing as far as the outcome of the game, but spelling/typos/grammatical errors always destroy the flow of a piece. Don't take that the wrong way; I still loved the report (game 2 probe trickery fucking ruled), but proofreading can't be stressed enough.
