A 7 asdf thats it?? i wouldnt give it no 7 more like a 9 in my book. I always watched games where Metal always won. First time i saw a BR with infan that carries the day.
I liked the way you threw some pics in that showed the WHOLE battle and not just part of it.
I kindof liked the way you had those "Talking" Thingys like "Yes Sir" and "Ahh stim" or whatever.
I really DID not see many spelling errors. Like 1 every 500 words. I hope you write more reports like this.

Depends who ya play, Someone. CHJs Terran > My Zerg. I'm very good against pubbies, especially on REGULAR Hunters, with my Zergie Macro, but I forget I can make Lurkers to kill their Infantry, and rely 90% on Hydras, but ah well. Good Report, never been able to pull off a Deep 6 effectively until after my partner had all but won the game. T_Mac is gay. If this is your first report, it should get a 9 IMO, cuz it's a very good first, but a 7 or 8 if you've reported before, cuz if you reported equally well each time, or equally crappy in my case, the rating you get becomes less, cuz they expect more.

I don't think that the number of reports he's made should make a difference. If that were so, you could get a regular reporter who usually gets 8s posting under a different name - they then get a 10. It makes no sense that way. It's the report that matters, not whether it's a first or not.
Either way, I'm not going to give this a rating. I am not a rater, so I don't see the point.

What about researching lockdown before cloaking ? Do you think it could work better against Toss ? (I always need suggestions to improve my low skills)

Hi Infested. I'll take your questions one by one:)
I am originally from Ukraine, but I have been living in US for 6 years now and I go to school here. As for the title...I speak French almost fluently since I have studied it for a long long time (also had some practice in Canada). Also "bonjour" looked much better suited for this title than its equivalent in any other language I know...
As for strategy... whther you research lockdown first or clock/sight first depends on what the situation in the game is. If you are going for early nukes, cloack/sight is imperative, and you want to get those ASAP. However, if you don't plan on nuking right away and are facing mass goons or goon/zealot force, then start by researching lockdown. Since in a regular battle you would not cloack your ghosts, having just the lockdown researched is fine. |

| As for zealots. You should always have a mixed force of MMF, no matter what you are facing. If he uses zeal/goon, this is especially important. Just make sure you got enough bats. Really, the toss fighting troops are not your problem. Terran infantry will beat them easily cost for cost. What you have to watch out for is storm and toss expansions. If you stay even in resources, you will win. Minimizing the damage you take from storm will make your win that much easier. |

I barely never play Firebats cos' they are pretty gas expensive and their concussive damage is a pain in the ass when you fight everything but Zealots (against Toss). I think ghosts and Sci Vessels (and a couple of tanks) are a better use of my gas. I play Fbats once in a while but always when they are already useless (when it's obvious I have won or lost).

- shown me why I play so bad
- shown me that winning a 2v5 comps is not something I should be proud of
- given me clues for improving
- improved significantly my (Battle.net) english even if I had to check how to spell 'significantly'

Firebats are actually not was bad vs toss as it may seem because their flemathrowers do full damage to shields, when when stimmed they fire pretty fast. In a drop, 6 stimmed firebats can remove nexus' shields in under 3 seconds. Think about that:). |

| Yes he did. He had 4 temps defending his mineral only. Some of them skirmished before the final battle, and one actually stormed my incoming forces, killing a few rines. He did not have many temps though since he went carriers, and those took up most of his gas. The key there was that he only had 2 gas mines, and that limited the number of his high tech units. This is the key. Don't let toss have too much gas, and you will save yourself whole lot of trouble. |

Nice report, and very good playing. I really like seeing ghosts in action. I hardly ever make them.
I do think though, that if the Protoss had made temps earlier, your infantry would have been toast. Maybe he didn't make them because he assumed you would be going metal. |

ok, now that ive read the report ^^ (lunch time) id have to say that the report was nicely done. Now, if i may, id like to comment on deep-6. i am an all terran player and i never get 6 rax unless its late game or vs zerg. but, i do do double rax begining = M&M rush. because i can catch a toss of ballance or teching to quickly and if im really lucky they early expand and ill have the game right there. after the fist attack ill usualy expand then ill retire my barracks and go mech and just run them over ^^. but it still depends entirely on what your toss friend is doing. BTW nice useage of ghosts, lockdown owns..

- Why did you research stim after range ??? I used to do that but now that I know Stim is the ultimate weapon of Rines, I research it first. But maybe if you knew you were going to turtel a little in the early game ...

| FLS, no I don't know Alvina. I am a freshman and she is a senior as you say. It's pretty hard for a freshman to actually get to know many seniors. Outside of sports and clubs we really don't interact as much. They live in different dorms and take diff. classes. It's really no surprise that I have never met her, especially considering that I hava only been here a month. |

I'm fond of Dune (just watch my nickname) and was very exited in reading a BR about Starcraft AND Dune. Too bad I didn't understand all of it. But a bad point for you (the first one in the comment section !) : I already knew Atreides were going to win. A BR in which you know the winner(s) in the first line are less thrilling (??).

| Hmmm...yeah you are right Eriador...partially anyway. I think that interceptors give you kills when you actually shoot them down individually, but when you kill a caarrier, you only get that 1 kill. But true though. Shooting down all that flying debris did add some kills to my stash. |

Haha, nice title. The report is nice. Good writing (some typos to whatch, but the battles were well reported). The pictures are a bit weak however. Try to make some collages and give them some borders to make them a bit more friendly-looking. As a tip, when an image does not take up the whole width of the page, you want you text to bend around it. In order to do that, incert this into your img line:
ALING="LEFT" VSPACE=6 HSPACE=6
You can make "RIGHT" instead of left in the align firld, depending which side you want teh picture to appear. Good job. Keep'em comin'. |

toss player don't really know how to play the game....
1. drops with 2 goons. (no matter what tech you go to at that time you will own two goons)
2. shuttle gets shot down (that rarely happens in expert match in that kind situation, toss bad micro)
3. expand without secure high ground and expand in bad spot
(at that time he has goons and templar to contain you, he should go for his own nature or higher ground to exp first, that just shows his misjudgement)
4. ineffective micro (the reason no one uses m&m to vs toss is because templar or reaver owns terran without question) he produces so few of those units and micro so bad. it is like he enjoys to use paper to hit ur scissor.
conclusion. Your skill is much greater than ur toss opponent, so any strategy will work, that doesn't really mean terran infantry can beat toss. |
