| I just noticed another problem that might be the cause for some confusion. In the second paragraph,the sixth sentence reads, "I'm sure your all familiar with the &g and &l signs." this should read "I'm sure your all familiar with the > and < signs. I'm guessing that a device could be made that amplifies and then analyzes certain attributes that living beings have within a certain radius/distance...heat, body structure, "the force", etc.
It would be like an advanced amalgam of technology that we have today: infrared, night vision goggles (amplifies light instead of the force), etc
I would assume drones have built-in indentifier chips or such (being that the empire is paranoid), or else emmit certain types of electrical "static"/wavelengths.
I'm not a Star Wars buff, nor very smart, so it's just conjecture. Good report btw :) |

I read as far as "the main units that comprised the battle between myself and LimYoWhan [were] the Zealot the Dragoon and the Cannon" before I skipped to the comments to read all the flames. However, to my surprise, the flames were few, and were outnumbered by the positives, so I decided to actually read the report.
Great writing, but an awful, awful game. Instead of expanding a couple of times and teching to mass reavers (or even carriers -- he certainly had the time), blue spends the entire game throwing small groups of units at high ground cannons. Again, writing has potential, but good style does not make up for bad content.

Ok I'm just gonna post this once, if I had to wait for a "good game" to write a battlereport, I would never write battlereports, because I never have good games.
PS: and I don't obs other peoples games for good reason, you can't fully know everything going on in someones head, their feelings, their objectives, etc., and it would take me three times as long to analyze something someone else did, and these things take me long enough as it is! |

I wholly agree with your comment #34. This report did tell what's going on in the heads of the players, rather than what's on the battlefield. Any buff of strategy knows that it's not how many zealots you make, how far your 'goons can shoot, or how much supply your buildings provide. What counts is what YOUR actions do IN THE HEAD OF your opponent. If you drop a lone zealot in his worker line while he's busy attacking elsewhere, sure, it's not a huge drop, nor earth-shaking, UNLESS it causes your opponent to lose concentration. IMO thinking and strategy count for more than dozens of units running rampant through one's bases. Unfortunately, the game scoring system says otherwise.
Ahh well, it's still good to know that there are folks out there thinking about how their opponent thinks, and doing something about it. Very refreshing, very good report even if the battles weren't all that flashy. 8-10 or so... how do I put in my two cents' worth for a rating?
