This was good overall. I have one big big gripe though:
"With little to no micro, and a lot of dumb luck the protoss forces manage to destroy the attackers. It was a close fight, in amoungst the protoss buildings. The Hero of the battle was bakedpotato's third dragoon, whom somehow destroyed most of the SCV's on his own."
This was crucial to the outcome of the battle, and you just skipped over it completely. At first the terrans had a big force in the toss main, then suddenly they're all dead. You should have described the micro there.

Pretty good 1st report, but the game was too bad for anything better than a 7 imho. The pictures could have been selected more carefully, showing more action.
And also to #8, that is not true, it is the game, writing and (if you include such) pictures that makes the report, not the html.
And 8+ is hard to get, you must have a good game and good writing skills to pull that off. |

this was mostly just practice to see what kind of a work load
doing one of these things.. yeah the game was short (about 10 mins max) and dumb.. i knew that when i started
and if you look close you can see that the pics get better as you go.
this is due to the fact that i was learning photoshop as i did the report.. *grin*... wait for the next one i'll have something good for you guys |

As a fellow reporter with little to no experience in writing these crazy things, I can honestly taht you did a pretty good job for your first report. Your grasp of how to put a report together (I think it is called HTML), is far beyond my limited knowledge. I am glad to see that it made Gold Reports, even though it was only given a 7. I was looking at some old reports recently, and have found some "bad" reports that received 7's and 8's, which had no pics and were "newbie" games. The times are a changin'. Good Job.

I will take notes and learn from this. Apparently html and pictures are required to achieve 7+ ratings, as long as the writing conforms to the cookie-cutter mold of regurgitating the battle, move by move. Don't forget lame/immature references to drugs/drinking/sex. Thanks for the tips.

| Terran Newb, while you may not be happy that your report didn't get a gold, pictures is what gets golds nowadays. You don't need lame references to all that shit, since I don't have any in my reports and ive still managed to grasp golds. the most important thing is putting your work into it. Yes you do go move by move however you also try to add some of your emotion and shit in. It makes it a lot better, add some jokes, some humor. And lets face it, most people like me just sometimes don't feel up to reading np brs. |

| I thought that was a "pretty good" battle report. The only problem was the acual game itself. Cannon rush and small attacks of 5 'rines, 3 'bats, and a medic? what were you thinkin'! Not the kind of stuff to write a battle report on. It's also hard to believe that that was your FIRST report. |
