I know there were stupid mistakes. I sent in steam tanks without recon FFS. :) Still better than my last BR game though and everyone makes mistakes. :P
BTW, I also meant to mention that the paladin's divine shield was very underused. He died too often for someone who can become invincible. I added that to the BR but I guess I screwed up and uploaded an earlier version AGAIN .:) |

| To me it seems steam tanks don't need recon. Just build maybe 3-4, send them in, and watch as stuff blows up. Steam tanks are fucking great to use to destroy buildings, they have siege damage causing 150% of their already high damage rate, plus they have fortified armor, reducing all normal and piercing damage to only 35%. With a farely good HP amount already it takes a lot to kill them if you don't have your own siege damage units ready. I love build 6 steam tanks, then attacking with my regualr army and the tanks. While my regular army fights the tanks take out so many key buildings, then i teleport my army back :D. |

knights are definitely a bad idea when going against mass pierce attackers because of their heavy armor. footmen, the "expensive peons," can make good work of riflemen with their light armor and defend ability, or at least serve as a distraction for your rifles to fire with impunity (i think the nearest unit is auto fired on, right?)
but the actual report was pretty good. you sure you haven't made any before war3 came out? make more! |

GW Blarg, another kickass report. The pics were big enough and had sexy borders, and you could easily understand what was going down. Writing was generally good and easy to follow. Which probably leaves the game as the only letdown.
As was already said, it was lacking a bit, with tonnes of tactical mistakes and stuff. And how you could outmine him 3-1 and still lose battles is beyond me :]
Anyway, if the game was somewhat better, I would say a 9 is well deserved. But for this, I would say a rock solid 8.

| Anyways this report was great, it was really a lot better then most of what i've seen lately. The writing was pretty good and easy to follow. The pictures were wicked good. The game, was okay. At first it seemed you were really ahead resource wise but you seemed to fuck up that advantage bad by bad unit control, and he was able to catch up by making 2 expansions. An island expansion is actually good, and all he needed was like 2 towers and that could stop a load of attacks.I dunno why you sent a scouting guy that early in the game. the 5 peons in the beginning are the most important, scouting can be used in the end. Plus, you said u sent one of your 5 scouting peons to scout and you found his base first, but he already had a barracks complete? seems awfully fast. And you have one grammatical error that i caught :D:D:D which was a cutoff sentence, or whatever. Anyways thats about it. I think this is an 8. Next time combine two games in one report and you should get a 9 no problem. |

| starfall is only good versus elves and orcs. orcs have only one stun spell (war stomp) which means it needs to get right up to priestess to stop her spell, and the elves have nothing on it at all. the humans storm bolt and thunder clap both stop the spell, as does the dreadlords sleep ability. nothing, on the other hand, owns bladestorm back except retreating |

My build for humans is barracks farm altar farm, find that if you build altar first you are protected better against hero rushing, if he finds you quick, if you get barracks first by the time you get hero 2 minutes or so later you have an army for him to creep with rather than having the hero soak up an entire farm and not be able to creep solo...
As an aside, in 1v1 dispel doesn't hurt your own elemental, anyone know if dispel kills friendly skels in multi-player?
As said above, knights suck vs rifle men, pierce damage(rifle) does 150% damage to knights, Footmen with defend only take 30% of the damage from riflemen, plus as a bonus their normal attacks do extra damage to the light armor of the rifle... |

| 46,47,48 - Defend blocks 70% of pierce damage but since there's a typo in the strategy guide that says it only blocks 30%, I think that's a forgiveable error. That was the reason I didn't research defend or use footmen in this BR. I 0wn with them now. :P |

| Newbie replay, to say the least, they didn't even get a 2nd or 3rd hero and both lost there heros needlessly, clearly they suck don't read this report waste of time, just look at screen shots like I did and see no 2nd hero, newbie units/no mixing decent units, clearly bad micro/ need to learn to creep. aha don't you hate newbies i didn't even play beta and im better than them. |

The main reason I used knights instead of footmen is that I was one of the people who thought defend ALLOWED 70% instead of BLOCKING 70% (due to the typo in the ripoff "strategy guide" that wasn't bought with my money :)). You have to admit that if I sent defending footmen in and it had actually allowed 70% of rifle damage, they would have been slaughtered. :)
I'd like to report another game, but lately all mine have sucked complete ass. :( |
