| I like how people think they know what quality a game is from a battlereport or that it matters. I suppose having made some reports myself, that I would like to get across that the game was good one, but in the end what you realize is that your just laying down framework. If the author is good (or bad) he should be able to make a poor game seem good. The vice is obviously true and poor writer will make good games seem poor. Ultimately this report was about what the author wanted to represent to us. It doesnt matter at all whether the games were good or bad, only how the end report comes out. In this case I think it came out very good, so stop bitching please. |

What I personally find enjoyable about this comment section is that there are people who take five times as much offense to my comments as mick has.
I've also read a number of mick reports so I guess it's really my fault for not commiting them all to memory but what I do remember doesn't make this one any better. gw on making this br into a sacred cow, though. It's really classy when people do that. |

Note from one who don't know all SC maps by heart:
It was absolutley impossible for me to follow your report. It felt like watching those awful slide shows my mom and dad kept showing to me when I was a kid (you do have better story telling talent's though... even though I'm not sure that is a compliment). I've seen raters dismiss reports for a lack "flow" in the reporting, no matter how fun it was (or not). Write more about the stuff "in between" to tie the battles into a report. Now it's just occational battles in a sea of jokes.
But then again... humor is like the ass, divided. (I'm not sure if that saying exist in english. :) I found nothing funny, except the "FU" key where I saw the humor, but still couldn't bring myself to laugh. |

One thing though... where the heck did those shutteled reavers come from in the middle of the starting zealot-war? ...timewarp? Later in the same paragraph his "first zealot" came...maybe I missed something but it sure felt like the game still was in it's infant stages.

This report didn't do anything for me. Random inanity mixed with very little clan-bashing in a clan-bashing report of lackluster games. I liked your last one better; you were able to maintain the focus on the battle better. The fluff only works if it supports or complements the battle well. 6.5 - 7.0.
