nice effort, but it was extremely confusing, at least for me. Next report you do, (and some people will slap me for saying this :' ( ) i would make it LONGER, because some paragraphs were chock full (?) of information, and battles were all over the place. other than that, gj. alot better than ur first, which i didnt read due to the yellow text on white background :).

pretty gj. i liked the game. for the reference learn how to cut certain parts outta screenshots. I found it annoying that you showed the bottom menu in each picture, thus minimizing the action. other than that good, easy gold i think.

| I know how to cut out the menu and stuff, but that makes the pictures smaller, and if i try to make them bigger they get blurry. And leaving the menu and minimap helps show the bigger picture, like what upgrades a unit has (Not intentional.. I just noticed this) and having the minimap is useful. I could get rid of the replay menu thing, but then the pictures just look awkward. |

gj. i was suprised how fast this one came out after the last, yet it was still good. i personnaly like pics with the bottom menu in, so that wasn't a problem. the biggest thing was you learned from your mistakes in the last one - many reporters, including good ones, don't listen to advice. my main complaint is that i don't really like FFA BR's, but that is just an opinion

Hey blizz nice report.
Constructive criticism is list the level of the creeps when you list the creeps. I cant remember but I believe a dark wizard is level 8???
If you list the level's of the creeps it lets us know what a player is getting into and what reward does he have a chance of getting.
Also listing the creeps abilities(like you did with polomorph :) is nice.

The pics were too small for me. Try running the replay in the highest resolution to get better quality pics. This way, they won't blur when you make them bigger.
Try to zoom in once in a time, it can help viewing the armies.

YOu still have some problems tho;
Your text sometimes lack any kind of sense, and its _very_ hard to follow the action. Remember ffa's are the worst to follow, and the fact that you have no minimaps that are visable make it somewhat harder.
Also, please get some better borders, and larger pics without the interface. I can't imagine how you manage to get them so crappy :o |

I would insert regular summaries of the state of the game, for example on expansions, choice of units, heroes and hero levels (I was kind of surprised that this DK which died already was at lv 8).
Apart from this I didn't find it too difficult to follow the action, but it could certainly be improved.

Hard to read with the small paragraphs. I found the pictures to be too small as well - you can cut down the actual size of them, and then have it at full resolution. Too hard otherwise to see what was going on. Look at Cattlebruisers or Zerg~Ling's to see what size you should be shooting for - not the whole screen, but at full resolution.
FFA's are tough to report, I'd really suggest trying some 1v1's or 2v2's to get your style down first. |

Not a bad report. The major criticisms I would agree with: sometimes it was confusing to follow the battles (this is inherent in all FFAs and great care is needed to prevent your writing from further muddying the waters), and your pictures need work.
A technique I've found useful, to prevent the need for a full-screen shot, is to crop an appropriate action shot with an area of unneeded space, like terrain or dead space. Then, take the minimap or upgrades that you want to add and put them in this space. This requires some forethought, since you want to incorporate the dead space when you take the screenshot, but it seems to work for me pretty well. Also, the captions are still too artsy and interfere with the shots (but that's a personal opinion).

Your report is not long enough. Aside from words i hate like "expo" (expansion... spell it out, it only takes an additional second and makes you sound much classier) and "nat" (uhhh you mean "natural"?) and saying how you suck at micro to soften up any mistakes and make excuses for yourself... the report is still good by virtue of it being ffa. In all your reports however, my bias aside, there are two criticisms that would hold true to any author.
Your report on action is too short, always focusing on only one player and 90 percent of your coverage is on creeping. Also, you assume things like "obviously going dual aura."
And 2... the pics are too small. If you're not gonna make them big enough to see easily, don't make them at all.
Your reports are much better than any I could make due to my not remembering html though. Try to improve as you do deserve a 7 and that's only three off from the best. |
