I'd give this a 8-9, dependent on what the rater is most keen about.
Pros (imo):
+writing style; rather consequent, and always raising a smile (though not causing to rofl)
+classy screenshots
cons:
- no hero information given; I think in wc3 it's important to know on what terms the opposing heroes are, as they are vital for winning a game. It was surprising for me that the one DK had raise dead and as well that the PotM was shortly before starfall. Heroes are important in my opinion, so an update from time to time would be nice.
- text/pic relation. If I saw it correctly, sometimes the explanatory text is in front of the corresponding pic, sometimes it follows. This should be made in just one style or perhaps just more clearly.
Still, nice style, nice game, nice report, as said above 8-9. |

IF YOU HAVEN'T DONE BETTER THAN THE REPORT THAT YOU ARE FLAMING, THEN STFU! People who whine about other people's reports becasue they're not what they like are reterded and immature. If you would actually read some of these war3 reports instead of flaming, you might learn something. Having never played the game, I bet I could begin to play right now and know what to do just because of the reports that I have read here. I know what spells individual units can do, what buildings they come from, and what they are weak/strong against. In conclusion, either make your own br, wait PATIENTLY for the next starcraft report, or go back and read some of the old gosus report, instead of lowering the sites integrity by flaming people who have not wronged you in any way. |

#43 your not the only rater on the site, and i think that their arent enough people who care enough about this community involved in rating thats all. By community I mean the average people who constantly supply this site with its material, the very foundation and basis of this site: BattleReports. it seems like very few raters are ever involved in commenting on reports by everyday gamers/reporters, however when you write something (even if its the same thing you've done four times in a row) everyone and their mother comes out to give it four 9s. Dont get me wrong, ive always been a fan of your work, I think your one of the few people that actually make this a fascinating and artistic media instead of a trite way for people to post lame strategies and stories of mediocre games.
I just think that favoritism is taking away from the general community of this site. We shouldn't have to ask to be rated just cause our name isnt CattleBruiser. |

Nah. I don't ever remember criticism in that regard negatively influencing a rating. Hell, some guy put 'fuck the raters' in his alt-text and the report still got a 9.8.
I apologize for not being in an appropriate position to rate this battlereport. I probably should not be considered an active rater anymore since I stopped rating Warcraft 3 reports. This decision was not easy, but I haven't played that game since the month of its release and don't intend to play it again.
So all I feel that I'm qualified to do is to rate a Warcraft 3 report on its technical merits. And that does not do justice to the battlereporter, imo.
I understand your frustration. I wish I could do something to help.

| I think I understand where Vash is coming from. But it isn't all CB's fault. It is mainly the fault of the other raters on the site. CB is the center of worship(<---obvious exageration) for all the other raters on this site, but that isn't CB's fault. But it does present a problem when someone comes out with a good report but isn't named Cattle Bruiser. CB rates basically every report that has been coming out; he is the most active rater on the site for just the average reporter. Basically the problem is, no rater gives a fuckin shit about anyone but CB, except CB, and CB can't do it all on his own. Just take a look at the main page and current news. |

Otherwise they would stay unrated as well I am sure, as he's not egotistical enough to rate his own report and CHJ (the only other rater to show his face for while) doesn't rate war3. Oh and T_Mac drops in every once and a while.
BTW, you should be writing for the satisfaction of the people who read, not to get a picture of a small lizard holding a gold medal next to your name. |
