Just so everybody knows, I gave Johnny the porceline bengalaas pic at the same time I gave him the bronze, silver and gold. However, he felt it was overdoing things a little, and at the time I agreed.
I'm not so sure anymore, though.
It seems to me that as sorry as a report with a rating of 3 might be, it does not deserve association with little gems like this. I might be a little harsh in my reviewing, but this is <I>not</I> why I come to this site.
Any report that consists mainly, "Haha what a stoopid newB," gets a 1 in my book.
I'd encourage everyone to pester Johnny about the implementation of the porceline bengalaas, so that reports that have no real worth whatsoever shall have all dignity cruely stripped from them.
So, for now, I hereby bestow DarKnight with the official porceline bengalaas:

There are good "adventures in newbieland" and there are bad. This was a bad one. The good kind is harmless fun; just tales of encounters with inexperienced players. The bad kind is needless ridiculing of the inexperienced players themselves. They might have been new to the game, but that gives you no grounds for insulting them.

Yes. Someone intentionally destroyed my rating by using a bogus rating him or herself to affect the average.

Well, maybe I will still rate. I'll just give everything a 10, three times, just for the hell of it. I was under the assumption that you gave it the rating you thought it deserved, not the rating that would bring the <I>average</I> to what you thought it deserved.

| Hey Pork, I don't think its as big a problem as you think. Most ratings I agree with +-2 points. That's fine. If ever see a report get 1 that deserves a 10, or a 10 (espeically) that gets a 3, then I will "Fix" it. |

Yeah Johnny, I have no idea who did the anomolous rating, but hopefully it's an isolated incident.
DarKnight, if you haven't read Mark's and CB's report writing guides, go ahead and do so. They're chock full of useful information; these two guys are the master of style (CB) and the master of content (Mark). I highly suggest checking their guides out. |
