pics were alright but writing was very bland imo. use some detail when writing instead of simple statements.
ie. "the zealots were off loaded from the shuttle and hacked up the parked siege tanks" instead of "the zealots came out and reduced the number of tanks to 1." |

I noticed at times that my writing wasn't detailed enough... I'll have to work on that. The problem is that english isn't my first language, so my vocabulary is fairly limited.. I guess I should start listening during english lessons (NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!)

Agreed #8. A sc report amidst a slew of spam is always a sight for sore eyes.
I just finished watching the replay, and I dont understand why didn't the terran (forgot his name) siege his tanks when he was taking ITR's main? He had a chance of winning if he had taken out itr's base sooner.
Anywho, in light of an extremely mediocre game, the br was also pretty bland. Most of the writing was just descriptive sentence, descriptive sentence, and followed by another descriptive sentence. It needs more excitement, and hell, mayb even some humor.
All in all though, very nice BR for your first. Work on your writing a bit and fix a few of the formatting changes and I'm sure your next one will be gold :) |

unlike the others, I liked your concise style. Reading your typical modern br is a big time commitment. I like you giving me 5 minutes of entertainment rather then taking half an hour of my time.
Keep it up, even if you don't get the top ratings with that style, I'll still read em. |

This almost deserves gold just for breaking the flow of 'spamports', really. (I'd suggest to JV a 1 submission per week per IP limit to cork this nonsense or atleast make it where it's a one turd a week inconvenience instead of a three-flusher snafu whenever a dumbass is in the mood. After all, most, if not almost all, of the veteran reporters wait at least a week between their submissions anyway.)
Anyway, fine effort Ebenol. Work on putting some color into your writing (as most of the time it felt like I was reading a replay) and presenting your pictures more effectively (the 'slapped on with Elmer's glue' look tends to distract from the text) and I'd expect a good reporting career. |

#14 is an idiot, saying late/early/mid game is retarded, i hate it, it annoys the heck out of me, saying the exact time is awesome though, which is what you did.
and i agree with #12, you don't have to spend months making a br that will satisfy someone for a half an hour when you can make one that will take a week and work for 5 minutes, ya know? and just ignore the people who diss on you even after you explain the matter to them. and i disagree with #16, something that obviously looks like a pic of the game, being right where it's supposed to be and being a pic of exactly what it's supposed to be isn't distracting from the text, my only complaint was the final pic was kinda dumb, but that's just my opinion. actually having the initial drop on the many tanks and then that one afterwards would've been good. |
