Dude, you coulda won that game so easily without all that trouble... when the archives popped que(cue?) up 4 temps and morph them into archons... 2 archons>12 muta... then have about 12 zealots and he would die so hard... all you said he had was muta... put some canons at home and get storm later...=[
but u did good though... i love killing the evil bugs with my beloved protoss... although its a challenge =D

| Wow, awesome report, and good job. I was recently smacked down by a zerg on temple, but he had guards damned fast, not mutes. I was stupid not to go temps, but I was stupid to forget to put down a 3rd gate. :| I love the definition of own as the title :p MAKE MORE! |

I agree, that was a great BR to read. Problem with ling/mutas is that from the best players, those turn into guardians, as was mentioned above. Ling harass to get him to go hardcore zealots or tech to reavers, then bring in mutas for the kill...if he switches to dragoons/temps, go guardians :-), keep 'em spread out so it takes multiple psi's to kill each, they work great in LT since you
can take advantage of attacking from raised/lower ground. Good thing is that Toss has corsairs now :-b.
But heh, that was really gut-sy to build a DT early out of your archives.
And finally, if you're stuck with goons against mutas, do build a shield battery or two. They have excellent range and basically give your goon a lot of free extra health :-). A ranged goon plus a couple of shield batts can almost cover your whole base ;-). Archons with batts too are great, as was mentioned, the best part being that if you keep your archon alive, that's ZERO casualties for you and ZERO damage on your archon :-). Man I love to hit-and-recharge with those guys...they can make up for their cost many times over.

| I have to agree with ralessi on the archons part. When playing a zerg who goes lings and mutas, I always build a couple of archons and get weapon upgrades. With two weapon upgrades archons kill loads of lings in one hit and of course they crush muties with or without weapon upgrades. Also, I don't go overboard. a nice force for me is lots of goons backed by two archons and two temps. Archons keep melee cleared, storm mops up the big stuff, and goons clean up. Just my thoughts on it. |

As a rule I make archons out of templar that get drained in battle. I complety forgot the fact that Archons rape clustered muties. Oh well. And i was in panic mode for a good portion of the game. I was sure that he had more expansions, and that a huge # of muties was gonna fall on me, and i wouldn't have enough psi-storm to take 'em down

Well said. I was lucky that he didn't hop up to guardians before I had corsairs.
And it wasn't gutsy. It was stupid, but I didn't have the gas for 2 templar to make an archon. But it worked.
Another oops. Sheild Batteries...I should be shot.

Thats bad. Put at least 3 Probes on gas when building your xtractor, and add the 4th one asap - it wont hurt ur minerals so much, but you can always mass produce temps later |

| That was a great report. I only find one flaw in your game. When you were attacking the still morphing sunken in the early game with those two zealots, would it not have been strategically wiser to be attacking his peon line instead? Just thought I should ask. But other than that it was a game well played. |
