2nd, I think. Interesting idea, doing a single player BR. This is meant to be a rating-worthy BR, so I'm gonna have to cover it like a normal one.
I do not have Homeworld, but I've always been interested in it. Played a demo, liked it alot. Ion frigates are good. I could probably get it now that it's like 10 bucks.
Where was I? Oh yes, the report. The pictures sucked pretty bad, with the exception of a few close-ups of ships. I don't know whether your computer sucks, or the graphics on homeworld suck, or both, but they seemed pretty sketchy. Zoomed out shots aren't that pretty. Black space with a few lines to represent ships is hard to make out, and the John Madden play drawing seems unnecessary.
Writing was so-so, not very detailed, but then again, single player isn't as fun as multiplayer. All in all, I'd say about a 5-6. Improve upon your reports, and keep pumping em out.

I don't see why not. Not a very big file. Wrong browser, maybe?
Btw, Multi-gun Corvettes own. |

Thanks for the input. I've gone through two or three bloody marys on the single player, namely
because my connection to WON didnt really work and the comp AI gort boring after a while. I did
the Madden drawing because a lot of people don't have the game and the interface is sometimes
difficult to get used to, and I wanted people to see my plan clearly.
If readers want me to do multiplayer instead of singleplayer, I'm happy to switch gears. Just give me a 2/3 majority. |

| Graphics were kinda bad, with wierd effects. A ton of pictures didn't load for me. Hmmm. 6.21321235 for a pretty neat-looking game and decent writing. |

Right.
Pics were just plain stupid. I couldn't see what in the name of crap was going on. Zoom is your friend, and it should be very clear what is happening when most of people only know Homeland from Dagomar (I know i do).
Text was minimal, and way undescriptive for a fairly unknown game. The Heroes mod? Eh? Adds tactic. Ohh nice. Wtf?
LN went over a lot of this on his comments for Some_Gods C&C brs. Use the advantage of bringing something (almost) new to the the table, to your advantage. Give us something we haven't seen.

| I have to agree on Homeworld 2, but I have to disagree on Cataclysm. The gameplay had some options that the origional Homeworld did not, such as waypoints and modules for the mothership, and the graphics were better, but that was to be expected - the game came out later. Cataclysm wasn't even done by the same developer (Barking Dog instead of Relic) and I found the storyline odd. Continuity was ignored, as the Bentusi were portrayed as paranoidal, instead of mysterious and helpful as in the origional Homeworld. The main arc was just plain weird, with the enemy as some sort of "beast" entity that infected ships to gain technology. The manual gives the impression that people themselves ae infected and become part of the beast. Sounds like the idea was ripped from the Borg on Star Trek, which met their own untimely death as a terrifying enemy due to bad writing. |

Mildly satisfying, but simplistic, looking more like the first draft of a battle report instead of the finished product.
Your prose is average.
Your humor is below average. (The understatement caption being the best attempt, generating an internal chuckle.)
Your graphic presentation is below average. (Trimming the pictures of unnecessary flab and bordering them would improve it greatly. You needn't be as fancy as Zerg~Ling, a simple green line border with a black background would do fine.)
And your effort is, as always, of heroic proportions. |

| I look forward to your subsequent attempts. A little touch-up so your reports have eye candy like EE's, and you'll start getting scores more like EE's. ;) |
