Hmm.
First off the white on blue didn't do anything for me. Didn't hurt my eyes, but didn't ease them either. The weapon intro was good, but a little long.
It's never a good thing when your intro is longer than your actual report. Make it a little longer next time.

Yeah, more rounds sounds good. Here are some Hex codes for BG colors I think would work:
Dark Blue: 3333CC
Silver-Grey: A6A6A6
Black: 000000(obviously)
Dark Blood Red: CC3333

Background killed my eyes, and there was a huge lack of reporting content, just about explaining the game.
Nice job though. You had no major mispellings or gramatical mistakes in the thing, which is more than most can say.
Pictures (the ones you made) are a tad bit sloppy.

| I think this deserved gold, but nothing higher than a 7. As Eldritch said, your intro (especially to weapons(?)) should never be longer than the actual report. It would have been much better had you included some more games/rounds you played to lengthen it. |

Look, FPS games aren't starcraft. all you have to do is give a quick description as the gun is brought into play and you're golden. Example: "I grabbed my trusty M16 (standard-issue Army rifle which excels at mid-ranged combat) and crawled up the bank."
I said that because your report was pretty short and I think it would've been longer if you hadn't wasted all that time explaining those guns. |

Well, you write better then I do, at least, and it was very straightforward, and I don't really mind the gun explanation. I'm the sort that reads the game manuals anyways so....
Too bad a game meant for actual training doesn't encompass more strategy, such as squad leaders giving orders or some such. Your team mostly just ran in, spammed grenades and shot, maybe with one person (ie. you) covering someone else. I honestly can't distinguish this from a game of CS, except for the obviously improved smoke grenades which at least lends a little bit more realism to it. I guess a FPS in which people cares about staying alive despite the fact that they respawn is too much to hope for (look at Unreal Tournament... brainless, that).

Obviously, cragspyder has barely played AAO, because it is not "CS with less guns", there is tons more strategy involved than CS. In a typical match you will see all types of teamwork, coordinated assaults, people covering others, calling out targets for sniper and m203, many things. You won't see that in counterstrike servers. And AAO high level matches have an even higher level of teamwork then that. In fact, in Americas Army, grenades actually kill people! Imagine that.

Indeed, there has to be coordination and strategy in AAO for anyone to get points and move up the rankings. Anyone here who plays play pipeline? You don't plan, you lose. There is a set of special radio commands for squad leaders, and after people die they will plan new things to try the next round. Quite fun, though I haven't played enough to get really good - yet. |

Mmmm. Web standards.
Anyway, I think you set the stage nicely, lining up the weapons, explaining the map, and what little action there was, wasn't bad at all.
The main issue so far is content. Or indeed, lack therof. The game sound pretty tactical, so I bet you can get a lot of interesting stuff from it.
If there was a bible on good webdesign, I swear it would deem White-On-Blue coulour scheme as the devil. Not a lucky pick. Stick with what you know works (white on black is a favorite of course), it's most likely easier to read as well.
All in all, good effort, more next time!

First of all "M16 uses a box clip," what the hell is that?
We used clips in Kar98's, M1 Garands, Lee Enfields, and other WW2 bolt action rifles.
What we use in rifle's today are called MAGAZINES.
You have absolutely no understanding of the OpFor weapons, The AK does not have a high rate of fire, its 650 as opposed to the M16's 800-850.
RPK-47 NOT 74, is not less accurate it's actually a very accurate AK, only down side is it's heavy.
Dragunov wierd stock? That's called a skeleton stock and it's not wierd, it's a genious invention.
