First comment, thanks to anti-crap feature. They've been bugging me for half an hour rating this now, so better get to it.
The movies were... Fantastic :) Yamato cloning was quite the rush, only it was absolutely dominated by Blitz' nice zerg comeback versus the battlecruiser army. Sexy business.
And bonus points for a report that was easy on the eyes, and set in Lucida Grande.
Writing was, surprisingly, very entertaining :) Mattz kept to usual self with the contant wang references, but was otherwise (again, surprisingly) very elegant :D Had some really good laughs along the way.
So... What to rate. |

I really think it deserves above a nine, but not a perfect ten. I'm not sure what br's should get perfect tens, but all in all very few I imagine (looking back at some of the br.com perfect tens, this is right up there with them).
Basically my only qualm with the report as a whole was the sluggish start of the game, but it wasn't really that bad because mattz had me laughing through it anyway with great text. |

probably won't be seeing a br from me (or worked on by me) again. or at the very least in the near future. the effort:reward/rating ratio is abhorred. I personally think that this report deserves at *least* a 9.5, gaguing from the other reports on this site. But i guess you guys are the raters. meh. |

the music for the battlecruiser battle is Black Mages. it's a band that performs strictly Nobuo Uematsu music (starring him, on the keyboard). they're one of the best metal bands i've heard in my entire life, but i don't think i have any links to give you :[ just dl/buy the cd

I really think people put a bit too much stock into fancy pictures and flash and the such expecting 10's, but if you take a look at the older 10's it wasn't the pictures and such that got the 10 (though they were always very good) but it was the quality of the writing (CM's dodging the parabola fish comes to mind) that pushed it over the edge.
The report was awesome, but the writing, while good, seemed to be lacking too much to earn the 10 as it was a bit too silly and not enough strong quality writing. 9 is very solid though |

I think Keanu's comments hit the nail on the head. While I really really appreciate the MASSIVE EFFORT I know went into creating this report, I am going to give it a 9.
The Flash and Movies were very cool, however I hope the download size of that battle report doesn't start to become a trend.
I give it a 10 for effort and a -1 for the game being so long and hard to follow. It took me 30 mins to read it and it was very hard to keep track of what was going on. I think 5 person FFA's are VERY VERY challenging to write. |

Great report, even though you didn't get the 10 you wanted. But, notice they posted a link in the news section too your report. Never seen them do that till now. The same report on a 1v1 or 2v2 would be a 10 all the way. FFA is to hard too follow and gets confusing at moments. But you did an FFA report that deserves a 10.

I haven't read it yet, scared of the size of it actually. But as far as the rating, if you go in thinking "10 or bust" you're already setting yourself up for a fall. Personally, I think the pouring out of appreciation this report has been given is much more of a reward than a 10 rating. But maybe that's just me and my reports suck so I shouldn't be talking.

I agree with JV, 10 for the effort. It showed. Perhaps if I still had dial-up I might feel differently about 'how' it showed, but it showed nonetheless.
I loved the collaborative effort. The writing was on the mark, though failing to achieve the memorable style of a Drefsab or Bob. Perhaps a change in narrative style or perspective could change this. As I said before, the effort showed. I loved the movies, and I loved the music that accompanied them. That yamato movie was something I've never seen before.
So about your rating. I find myself in a unique position. Not wanting to give a 10 away so easily, yet feeling obliged in knowing that it would make the report a nine point something (what it rightfully deserves).
So, I give you a nine point something. Consider it quantifiable encouragement.

| A very nice report. The effort and the polish that went into it show. The writing though was a bit too wordy for my taste, which sometimes made the jokes seem forced and unnecessary. I would say concentrate more on the action and less on the repeated jokes of player's sexual orientation. |
