That was entertaining. Terrific writing, except for the occassional SP and the rather quaint use of "wraths." Your images were decent throughout, but I'd suggest sharpening them a smidgen, and using (better) borders.
I thought you did a great job keeping this fun. I don't think your incorporation of Rook helped for the last two games - the first bit was definitely more entertaining - but that's a subjective qualm.
This was one of the better concepts to have come along in quite a while. I hope that, when you finish this, you'll do another! Seriously, just a fantastic idea. Also, I was surprised by the types of games everyone came up with. Maybe you should give us all a little more time next time, I guess - although some WERE really cool.

Dag's strat had me laughing out loud. Good work.
Better than I thought it would be, honest. I just don't think raider and E.S. will be able to compete with Matt, Dag and Ling in terms of homosexuality. Maybe one of the future tasks should be endurance, or massive (anathema-esque) turtling opponents into submission. Just a thought.

I'm pretty sure the reason why Ender got so many votes was because he was the only Warcraft III player, so the Starcraft players who didn't know about what he did wouldn't have believed it to be as funny. I was totally surprised when I saw Ender in second place in the results. You need to play Starcraft next round, or you will be voted off in part because of it :(
It's kind of sad, really, since W3 has a whole lot more ridiculisms than Starcraft :) |

| I played a total of three games, 2 being 1v1s. One of the 1v1s was over in under 5 minutes when I used a cannon rush vs a terran on lt. The other ended up being a serious zvz - the second one of those I've ever played - that I lost after 45 minutes while trying to use mass queens ( note to all: mutas own queens ). I chose raider.....simply because i can. i really enjoyed endersshadows, because that's a strategy you see very little....and i play warcraftIII and i don't really like Starcraft. All in All i think that was pretty funny. Dag's strat had me rolling around gasping for air. great idea.

I think my fav newb bash strat has got to be the single battlecruiser strat, where you can only build 1 battlecruiser for offense (though you can support it with sv's using dmatrix and a dropship full of medics and scvs for repairs and restores) |

Read it again! Here's my order, worst to best:
Raider: SCV + Marine rush is bland compared to the other ones
Ling: Pretty cool, just nothing compared tgo the others, only slightly better than Raider's
Ender: A big step up from the other two. Pretty funny, especially considering the way your opponent acted. =]
mattz: Frickin' hilarious. I love mass eBays. And nukes are a given.
Dag: Best of all. Every little detail was perfect. I can't believe he didn't figure it out! Then again, I probably wouldn't have either =] |
