Not to take anything from you but they weren't masters of the game. But anyways, besides you ally obsorbing attacks you did it 2on1 (quite like my 4on1). Something like this happened to me one time as a final assault against a turtled terran. I had minerals to burn (something like 3+ expansions) but little gas. I ended up making four hatcheries outside sight range of his choke point. I attacked en masse with crackling and the occasional hydralisk against multiple bunkers of marines and bats, with tank cover and detection. I must have gone through two or three thousand minerals just making cracklings, but I did get through.
