| Arbiters don't detect, so a parasited arbiter can't see the units under it's cloak field. Same for any parasited units under or near the cloak, they can't spot the invisible units without detection. |

| Now that is wierd. How did he manage to see my templar then? It was under parasited arbiter's cloak... rather strange. |

| It sounds a lot like a 3 person FFA I had on a Bridge Too Near the other day. I was terran and had tank pushed a zerg out of existence. The remaining opponent was toss. I mined more than twice the money he did, but with damn psistorm and carrier hit and runs using shield batteries he managed to greatly wear down my army. Finally his carriers moved a little too far away from the cliff they were hovering over and my cloned ghosts managed to lockdown almost all of them, then nuked. My remaining forces carried the day, with the help of a lone siege tank with 17 hitpoints left that blasted the nest of cannons he built. The game was 3 hours and 32 minutes long. |

Sounds like the 9 hour game Mark4 and I had on my home brew map "bengalaas land".
The map has 1 patch of minerals with 100 mins in the patch. This patch was in the middle of the map and we had to fight for it all game! We just kept running and running around! Then Mark4 managed to kill all my SCV's with one of his remaining. Mark4 realized he couldn't kill my floating Commander center with his one SCV, but so he mined out the patch and made a RAX. That left him with zero minerals, not enough for a marine to shoot down my CC. Mauhahaa! I told you, you wouldn't get the last laugh Mark4! Well, well played game. You got some damn good SCV micro bud.

That's an amazing game there...FFA have such a horrid tendancy to go long....

One FFA I played on temple, i was faced with a near-dead zerg. I let him live, & i shouldn't have...
My main was attacked by literally 75 overlords...with nothing in them.
That screen shot, with our observer saying
"holy shit"
ranks as one of my favorite classic pix
Johhny, you've got too much time om your hands
All the best,

Fantastic report in my book. I enjoyed reading it.
Serious points in your favor:
- You use mixed forces. YAH! No 35 dragoon armies for you.
- You play on Fast. That's my favorite speed. I like to micro, too. (:
- You use spellcasters, esp. Maelstrom. Woo!
Well, that's just my opinion, and I'm unimportant. (: |

Here's a 1,000,000 dollar idea:
if you know a zerg guy is using dark swarm and hydras to defend against your carrier rush, recalling 2-3 archons in the middle of the swarm to work the hydras over with splash should work. They're immune to broodling, plague, eat cracklings and inside a swarm are pretty good. The only thing you may need to watch out for would be sunkens... but that's what d-web is for. |

| Question: How do you get the arbiter over the swarm without getting shot down by hydras? That better be some hallucination you got there. (: Maybe they'll be shooting at the carriers. |

| Another Question:How do you get the Archons to attack the hydras? They are ranged attack units with range 2, so they won't work on swarmed units |

Question 1:
When your carriers engage the front line colonies and what not, the enemy sends in hydras and a defiler... the defiler makes the dark swarm in a good spot then moves hydras in it. There's a pause in there during which the swarm isn't occupied. That's when you move in the arbiter to recall right on top of it. Otherwise, use d-web to get in without scar tissue.
Question 2: archons do splash damage. Just like tank blasts and reavers, they do a number in the dark swarm with splash alone... not as effective but hey! Hydras can't do a THING to an archon the in dark swarm. Oh yeah, if there are any sunken colonies in range it'd be nice to recall a reaver or two as well - to clean up the territory. |

| Couldn't you just D-web the area that's darkswarmed? I know this wouldn't kill the guys under the swarm, but it would make the darkswarm pretty useless. I think this would be a great way for toss to defend against swarm/cracklings or swarm/ultras. Just dweb the darkswarm and force the zerg to either have their guys move out of it or have thier troops just stand there looking stupid. Am I missing something here? |

Why didn't you just kill the stupid queens with your sairs earlier in the game? It seems to me like it would've made your life a whole lot easier as well as given the medics a little vacation in which they could do more important stuff...like stand around and heal eachother.
That was one kick butt report, I enjoyed reading it.
Related Story - I played a 3 ffa on rivalry recently, and it took a while. I took the main expansions, but my protoss enemy had the big one that houses the fourth player. The other protoss player was being harassed by carriers constantly, so he was pretty much out of the running. The only reason this game didn't end up an 8 hour ordeal was because the harassed player helpfully statis fielded most of the guys carriers, which let me park my hydralisks up his skirt. It still took forever, and my cracklings still had troubles destroying his base. Gotta hate those long ffas |
