Heh, damn, I thought I had you after your entire main was destroyed. In retrospect, I should have pumped out a bunch of shuttles so I could load up goons and attack your islands. I really don't know why I didn't, ah well. :) I wasn't on top of my gates that game either. When an observer saw those 30 zealots, I went "oh shit I have no stuff" but I looked up and saw I had 2000/1500. Doh! It was a GG, I HATE CARRIERS!!!
#2 HunterD (NEW93127183.columbus.rr.com)[6416]
Good BR, a lot of fun to read. Ahhhh...the power of the Carrier, just watch those flying bananas go! Humorous report, and always fun to hear a victory after losing your main. (Those just aren't very common.) I will say however that you are in some need of serious professional help:P My two cents.

Or atleast I hope so. Did u get that battle outcome from my "battle breakdowns?" Just curious =) If so, awesome. If not, u suck! j/k

#4 Necrosausage! (N044P023.dipool.highway.telekom.at)[6442]
I didnt knew who came up with this, but I copied it nonetheless :)

Good idea it is :)

#5 Necrosausage! (N163P018.dipool.highway.telekom.at)[6443]
When did I write "SuperRobFac" ? I just found the "Observervatory" typo, but nothing like "SuperRobFac" - only "RobSupFac" which means Robotic Support Facility :-D
#6 Twip (pm1-28.galip.aceinter.net)[6451]
<font size="2">It's Robitics Support Bay! :o\

I can't say I really liked that, although the report was nice...people who do that straight Carrier rush bullshit against me just piss me off...come on, how much skill does it take to do that and then just pump out some Zealots and send 'em in? :o(

Oh well. Must be fun every blue moon. Meow.</font>

#7 JSH (pmroch1-2.rconnect.com)[6455]
Couple other things you forgot to mention, Necro:

1) I called you 'foolish mortal' for the 2nd time in 2 games after destroying some carriers. :)

2) You forgot to mention my Secret Probe of Death, where I scouted you initially, then hid the probe behind a tree or something, and after you set up your choke defense I had the probe run around your base again and you were like "?!?!??!?? How did he get in there?"

3) And you also forgot my Obvious Zealot of Death, in which I took one zealot and ran past your choke defense because there was just enough room, and your zealots were on hold. :) Got to see your base again, and it was when I decided to attack you that first time.

#8 Necrosausage! (N087P024.dipool.highway.telekom.at)[6458]
Sorry, I really forgot these great scouting maneuvres :)

Your probe of death was a good move, especially on a map like brushfire (I guess it also works great on temple tho), I have to use it too in my next games...

I have to put 4 Zlots on hold next time :)

And hey, Twip: If you think my strategy is bullshit, why did I then win clearly against an at least equally (well, I guess with you being Zerg I can say superior :) skilled player? The trick were not the Carriers, but the early dual island xpansions. And if you miss micromanagement in my game, well, I have to say that

a) Carriers need good control too, if you just attack-move them in they will get shredded, you have to evade storms, hit-and-run, lay a few DWebs, and above all, concentrate fire all the time

b) The mass Zlots were actually pretty fun, and since JSH did not expect them, they were a good move I guess.

What should I do when I have 4000/2000? Attack him with 100 Templers and storm every single unit ten times?

no offense tho...

#9 JSH (pmroch1-2.rconnect.com)[6461]
Right, the reason I lost was not that I couldn't stop carriers (I possessed/killed about 10 of the damn things) but the fact that I missed my window of opportunity to kill you off completely. Then you had a superior resource advantage and just ran me over with brute force. If there were no island expansions you would have been dead after your main was gone. New map next time. :)
#10 Necrosausage! (N036P029.dipool.highway.telekom.at)[6467]
Right. After this window of opportunity I was already too much ahead ressource-wise.

You still had a chance to win until I killed your expansion - this was the deciding move in this game, since this really hurted you ressource-wise
#11 shockwave (exchange1.sensable.com)[6470]
Hey Necro, nice BR that was very entertaining to read :-). I agree that it was probably your resourcing that won you the game. I would bring some hallucinations next time and make those silly dark archons waste their manna :-). Also, scouts do work well against carriers but you also had corsairs, which makes things pretty pretty terrifying.
#12 Necrosausage! (N034P023.dipool.highway.telekom.at)[6478]
heya shock

I _always_ forget on hallucinations :( I never even thought about it :(. For me Templars = Storm and nothing else I guess

Since I got BW I built about 5 Scouts in total :)(sometimes I build one to accompanie my airforce)

As you say, Sairs eat them, especially with weapon upgrades. And if the Carriers are armor upgraded, Scouts do really not that much hull damage
#13 2Inadequate (dyn45-91.cod.edu)[6481]
To stop carriers, u gotta go scout/sair and upgrade like hell. If you have the same amount of sairs, let them engage the other sairs and concentrate scout fire on the carriers.
#14 JSH (pmroch1-5.rconnect.com)[6504]
I know how to stop carriers, and it doesn't have to be scout/corsair. Again, the reason I lost was because of being outresourced.
#15 Twip (pm1-28.galip.aceinter.net)[6508]
<font size="2">I know Necro, let's take everything Twip says personally! :o( Anyway, I just hate Carriers. Hate them. Everything about them. All of the resources a person has to use to counter them (and I'm not just talking minerals/gas either). It's not impossible, it's just annoying. :o(</font>
#16 Necrosausage! (N204P027.dipool.highway.telekom.at)[6570]
Hey Twip, I said no offense :)

#17 GayProtoss (198.182.163.113)[6890]
I join Twip here in the notion that Carriers are the single gayest unit in Protoss arsenal. I suppose you could tie that in with Dark Archon mindcontrol cheese and 600 supply.

Although, I love feedback to pieces. :) Battlecruisers, queens, wraiths, science vessels, corsairs, d-matrixed ghosts... they all love it.

In that situation of 30 zealots, may I humbly suggest to clog your choke point with a few dragoons, put cannons behind (with an arbiter if you have one), and maelstorm incoming bad guys to cause some serious pathing issues.
Mass dragoons however, are another story.
