| Well this is pretty different, reporting on a Madness game. I used to play these a lot but haven't much lately. Might be interesting to try out this Zelda madness - I've seen it before in the games list. I'm sure you must have been sweating like mad at your red bunker. :) |

nice...I played Zelda once, but I don't like madness much I prefer RPG and C Wars more. But on some madnesses you can cheat like on Knights of the Round if you are purple take a wraith and kill the opponents civilian guys, they don't get units you do, it kinda is cheap though. On Zelda its different why marines? I think ghosts maybe better depends what other had. If they have marines then get ghosts. If they got medium sized or something lean towars something with normal damage. If large sized I usually lean toward goons or wraiths or scouts and such. Anything with explosive. I might try that strat. someday though. Wow me talk a lot me be quiet now.

| Ok, 2 things. Mark4, I think you run this site or something, but anyway, if you have some free time its worth playing. Just be careful, it can be addicting as well. For BikeTurtle, the reason marines are better is 2 reasons. 1: more versitle (no concussive crap) and 2: they generally have 200 hps, and do 10 damage, where a ghost has 100 hps and does 10 damage as well. So not only is the marine tougher than the ghost, but it shoots 50% faster, or 3 times faster if stimmed. I never play knights of the round because my guys usually end up shooting turrets instead of units. Commando wars is fun, but all of my friends hate it. |

What version of that was it, by the way?
I edited one as PrinceCharming a while back and spread it around... I have an even newer version that doesn't allow the multi-beacon cheat where you get two or three units at a time. |
| #7 AbusedGoat (32.101.8.215)[8968] |
|
| For Slicer-- It was just plain Zelda 64 Madness. It was the version where the beacons are arranged in a circle, and you can only choose from about 10-15 guys. It wasn't the 2/3man one. |

| EEEEEVILLLLL! I don't know if you saw my post on the forum a few days ago but Zelda Madness is the same thing as another one called Mad Madness, it just have the unit's names changed. And Mad Madness was a remade version of something else, I can't remember the name anymore, and that was the madness version of Various Blood Types which was just like my Choose Your Blood Type but everyone got a civilian and you could change what unit you were makeing. And mine was just a version of Zergling Blood but player 1 moved a civilion onto a beacon in the begining to choose the unit. And that Choose Your Madness Type maps that are out arn't the final, just a realy old test version modified a little. Hmmmm I should probebly finish that some time... and that CTF too... |

| For Unnilquadium: I do remember that. I remember mad madness 1 2 3 and gold. But no one plays them, so I play zelda instead when I want to play madness. I think what you are talking about was known as "All Madness" |

Its pretty sad but I only play UMS most of the time. I suck at melee and at UMS I have a better chance of winning. To all you people if you see me at nh please challenge me to a UMS. he he he.
I've also been working on my own maps and if anyone at all can help me please e-mail me at bmurray1@home.com ThankS! |

Sure SuperGeneral if I see you on I'll challenge you to Commando Wars and we shall see who wins, then of course you are probably pretty good. Oh and I didn't know about the modified marines AbusedGoat, I haven't played it in a while I thought they were the normal marines, sorry bad idea. Yeah Marines would be better, but there range just sucks, and if you get mass ghosts the will override the marines if there are enough because of the range thingy.

| The madness games that create infinite units are mostly equivalent to $$$ maps. This Zelda madness seems to be more well executed than most (a lot of them have shocking balance problems). In my opinion, the best UMS games are ones like Bunker Command 2 (the #1 UMS) that limit the number of units and really focus on the micro. After all, micro is what UMS maps are all about. Commando wars is also quite good. The second best I suppose. Some of the versions have balance problems though. |

| I can whoop anyone in bunker command 2. Whisper me if you want a loss. Also, why did my rating go from 5 to 5.3? I'm not arguing, but just kinda curious to know why. |
| #18 JSH (martinsix.ne.mediaone.net)[9015] |
|
| It's because the rating system totals up the numbers of points then divides it by the number of raters that rated your report. So you probably had 2 raters give you a 5 for a total of 10 points, then a 3rd one gave you a 6 for a total of 16 points, and an average of 5.3. |

Yeah Bunker Command II is balanced, but I woould thinnk so is Merc and Techs the original version or one of the fairer versions. I don't know if I would actually challenge anyone to Bunker Command II, my comp. always (well 80% of time) crashes Starcraft whenever I play that map. Yeah and I noticed some Commando Wars have bugs and are unbalanced. I could tell the little cheat that was put in Commando Wars and is not widely used, but why would I? That would just make more cheaters, I don't cheat. So anyone who want's to play a game of Commando Wars, contact me on b.net

| The unit names. That's the other thing that bothers me, that and the points thing on most Ultra Madness maps. Always be marines, worth nothing and can kill the air heros. Why are there air heros with nonair killing regular units? I guess that bothers me too<BLINK>.</BLINK> |
