Reading new comments on old PL:Chronicles has brought something up (I check for new comments relatively often). SuperGeneral commented on the possiblity of me being able to get Phoenix Legion published.

Chances: Slim to none.
In a recent interview about the death of WC:A, Bill Roper stated that the book deal I was hanging my hopes on was actually a trilogy deal (with Pocket Books). That means no open season like the Star Trek line of books (there are drawbacks there, I know). But what that means is Pocket will publish something with the main characters involved, not something like PL. Also, they'll get established writers =(.

Ah well, I didn't start PL with the hope of being published, so it's all good...

If only I could start a massive e-mail campaign telling Blizzard how good PL is....

(I'm KIDDING).

Nice story. Love the nuke panic :)

Koreans out number Americans on B.net now, at like EIGHT to ONE.

Yes, but we still outnumber them in brain cells - by a similar ratio.

And if Blizzard banned all the Americans, they'd have to get off Bnet themselves.. hehe

Its the weirdest thing cause I don't remember saying that. Oh well. Great job but they seem to be getting shorter and shorter.
#4 .Praetor (port-sac25.cwo.com)[9032]
Well SuperGeneral, you brought up that thread in my mind from another comment section. Or something like that. I don't know if they're getting shorter. I'll check on that. I was really tired when I finished this one though....

Mark4, Johnny, do you actually make money when I click on the banners, or is it just if I buy something from Dragonscroll. Hmmmmm? 'Cause I've been diligently clicking on them once every time I visit the site.

#5 Mark4 (strangers.bragg.army.mil)[9039]
You are the man Praetor! And not just because you click the banners =]. Another cool edition to your story. We get between 10-15 cents every time someone clicks a banner. We weren't getting paid with our "by commision ads" cuz you are all cheap non buying bastards, so we took them down =].
#6 MikeyMonty (spider-wb073.proxy.aol.com)[9042]
Wow, each installment gets better .Praetor. I think they just seem shorter cause they are more enjoyable, and time flies when you're having fun.
#7 Raging~Kozak (204.83.152.227)[9044]
These stories are awesome and I'm reading the actual book too. Keep it up it is always a joy to read. How come you haven't posted any new chapters lately.
#8 SuperGeneral (cr732571-a.pr1.on.wave.home.com)[9050]
Has any1 heard anything about Starcraft books yet? I recently read in a PCgamer that Blizzard has plans for a trilogy and a Starcraft RPG. Pretty cool huh?

#9 TheRubberDucky (dfiatx100-044.dsl.gtei.net)[9053]
I always love reading these, but now I hafta go over to scl to read the Phoenix Legion. The chronicles just aren't enuf =]

#11 .Praetor (port-sac20.cwo.com)[9072]
Ack! I will live in fear YRM. And it's not so much the stellar quality of your reports, but the fact that large sites linked to br.com because of it =). Since then, so many people actually know we are here =).

SuperGeneral, there is going to be a Diablo RPG, don't know about a Starcraft one. And thanks to everyone else who commented!

#12 SuperGeneral (cr732571-a.pr1.on.wave.home.com)[9080]
Mind if I quote from my mag? thanks

Lucrative Licensing

When you have such sure-fire licenses as WarCraft, StarCraft, and Diablo,it would be almost criminally negligent not to explore new ways of milking these cash cows. Well, no one can accuse Blizzard of not answering the door when opprotunity knocked, as the company has announced new deals to bring novels, pen-and-paper roleplaying games, and strategy guides to the market for each of its big three series. Negotiations under way with a major publisher for a nine-book deal (three for each franchise), with TSR Inc. (the Dungeons and Dragons folks) for roleplaying games, and with BradyGAMES, which will be releasinf an exclusive Diablo II strateegy simutaneously with the game. Wxpect to see the continuation and expansion of the company's action figure line, too.

#14 SuperGeneral (cr732571-a.pr1.on.wave.home.com)[9089]
crap
#15 .Praetor (port-sac113.cwo.com)[9094]
I like YRM's robot better. It's cool how he moves like he's keeping his balance. Very Awesome. The alien dude had color, that's all.

Johnny (or Mark4) thanks for changing the previous PL:C to other.

.Praetor,

I just read Chapter 5 on sclegacy/phoenix. Thanks. I'm flattered... =)

The reason I'm not posting messages all that often lately is that I have a new job (yippee!). I'll still play and read the battle reports occasionally, but I'll not be on as often. =(

You might also find me playing as "The_Cat's_Meow"

*reowr!*

=)

SuperGeneral and evrybody there is going to be a starcraft RPG its going to run off of AD&D rules, the only similartity to starcraft is places/names/weapons, the diablo one is going to come out too, it looks sweet, Jeff Grubb and one other guy are making the story/other things for it

(btw, to kill a rating robot, simply psionic storm it)

Hey yrm? did u get mine/cashews pic?
#18 Orange-Fungus (sktnsk01d051601142.sk.sympatico.ca)[9103]
there has also been rumors of a Starcraft CCG (collectable card game) but i dont know how much i can trust the ppl at Inquest Gamer (ccg computer and rpg megazine) oh well, sorry bout that not being in last post
#19 SuperGeneral (cr732571-a.pr1.on.wave.home.com)[9115]
He he that looks cool
#20 .Praetor (port-sac37.cwo.com)[9123]
That does look cool, SuperGeneral.

Von Doom, Phoenix Legion is a wholly original concept (aside from being based in the Starcraft universe). Phoenix and Legion are both very common terms (I wish they were less so), so you may have heard them in tandem before. I have not.
#21 Orange-Fungus (sktnsk01d051501159.sk.sympatico.ca)[9157]

Beaut story line Praetor... did you know Praetor is actually a religious titles? Anyway away from boring facts.
YRM i love the .gifs they are so unique...
Jeff Grubb has been kinda silent since WoTC (wizard of the coast) bought TSR, but David 'Zebb' Cook (if it sounds familiar he worked on WarCraft I, and II and Diablo AND Starcraft [he gets arouund]) has been hinting at new projects being designed, i hope if they do go ahead they have Larry Elmore (Dragon Lance novels) as the cover artist, and maybe Douglas Niles as the author.

If you can send a demo story to Doug or Timothy Zahn they can get a good word in for you with Cook, also Terry Goodkind (Sword of Truth series) is quite helpful in that regards of this kind (www.prophetsinc.com to get to his main website)

Can you tell i read alot????

also just a personal question, can we get a forum on br.com?

wrong question... how is it that you guys can observe a battle without showing yourself in the mini-map and see the entire map in a b.net game???? just wished to know.
