I would like to start off saying that i did not have in mind this report when i played so the accounts might not be exaclty correct.
It was 4:20 in the morning, a cold night in Los Angeles. An avid fan of Limp Bizkit stubbled into a room full of obsenities known as Korean..(jk) within those foul language the fan notice a word glitter.
"hey Limp, you too wussy to fight me?"
well, well, well....i might be scared but NO i am not a wussy.
i quicky told him to join limp/limp then darted for the create game button. the map was Dire Straits, one of my favorites, and speed on fastest. Because i am broke as hell, i have been using NetZero to comfort me when i sleep with no blankets :)
Anyways, we both went random, i getting the Mighty Protoss, ThatchBoogy, getting the Stinking Zergs.
I played it cool, telling him to go easy since my record was 1-10 at that point. He wouldn't buy it though, and ended further conversation with a "Shut up and Play!".
Getting a Plyon at the seventh Probe, i made another probe which then warped in a Gate.
As i kept making probes, the ninth made Assimilator, tenth a plyon, and 11th, a cybernetic core.
Than sent three probes to gas as i still continued making probes. when i had 150 gas, i warped in a Stargate, then quickly made one dragoonie.
As i was going for Corsairs, i forgot totally about Shuttles :( But, as my first corsair fail to find the enemy until the forth try, i already had two stargate and third, fourth corsairs warping in.
i found the zerg right on top of me, as i started on the lower left. He went for a quick air, and the only defense was 6zerglings (hahahaha) a sunken, and three hydras. He had NO sign of a Evolution chamber, and his second hatchery was being morphed my his measly drone. Four corsairs then quiclky chewed through thier lunch, overlords, but suddenly they changed speed and ran faster...HAHAHA RUN FROM CORSAIR!! i laughed at his futile attemp when i was attacked my three mutas. well, four corsairs STILL killed all three and all his overlords manuvering around those hydras. at home, i finally made a robotic facility with three more plyons, and a forge. two more corsiars were on thier way but the food was gone, and the four corsairs shrunk down to one was reinforcements arrived.
Reinforcements for WHAT? well, i took my three corsairs around his base in attemp to catch any OL en route to an expansion.
As i morphed in a FleetBeacon at home, i had three dragoonies, and a shuttle. Most of my mineral patches havr grown small from all the cutting and gas was becoming scarec by the second. I took three probes into the shuttle and headed for NorthEast for my first expansion.I dropped one probe who warped in a nexus, Assimilator and a pylon in a quick succession for i was Flourishing in the mineral department. The other two probe was dropped off at the LowerRight starting point and did the same builds.
This point in time, i have seen few mutas which kept trying to cross the sea but deterred by my corsairs. when suddenly, three from the BACK attacked one of my corsairs. FROM THE BACK! "DAMN" i though, for i have missed one or more, of his expansion. I researched for Four more Interceptors on my blimp at the same time warping in two.
My second expansion was running in full gear now, and with more money gained then spent, warped another stargate on my first expansion. With diverted attention from my dying corsairs and his search for expansions, i have left my second exp alone, and was overran by 8 hydras. My pair of probes couldn't even squeak before being sent to Heaven for their lovely deeds :( Atleast i found his expansions. One on the 12 o'clock position, and ANOTHER on the 3.
I at this point had three carriers, with three more on the way. Because i have researched D-web like a good boy, i D-webed the sole Spore Colony on his main. He had a hive, two hatcheries, a Greater Spire, a Evo Cham, and the lone Spore with other stuructures that was there before. I, with 24 interceptors, wrecked Havoc on his main. I was all ecstatic as his Evo.Chamber bursted into a pile of blood, the spore, and even one of the hatcheries, while fending off about a dozen hydras. Because he set these hydras to attack one carrier at a time, i simply ran my attacked carrier away, so my other two could get free hits on them. It was too late until ThatchBoogy noticed but it was too late, and he only managed to kill one carrier but one was severly damaged.
After dealing with Hydras, I again set for the structures, this time concentrating on the Greater Spire. I have reduced the hitpoint to 400 when freaking Scourges finished my carriers....
But WTF? There was red Everywhere! All this time my damn base was being attacked my about a dozen and a half Hydras!!!
Christ, i shouted, then started to make interceptors from my idle carriers. But the damage was done. He killed a lot of my probes in my main, as well as few plyons and my three canons protecting me.
My carriers were finally ready and I managed to kill all the remainder again, losing only one Carrier.
I claimed GG, but i kept making two corsairs and a carrier.
Obviously, he did not notice my expansion, and thought i was a goner. HAHAHA. Thank GOD for that... i was extremely lucky. With 3 2/2 carriers and 3 corsairs, i attacked his main, right after he typed "You want to wait this out?"
When i reached their, he had two Defilers and a lot of Hydras. i again laughed in face of danger and barged right in. I tried to cast D-web in the midst of Hydras but Stupid me, they all died only killing two mutas. Still, the carriers were doing thier job. The hydras were gone, after having a Dark Swarm cast on top of them, which i ran away from, and i attacked the hive. He had 6 mutas fly out, but one died almost instantly, then two more after a few rounds, then three of them fleed. Where are THEY going? I didn't care and Managed to bring the Hive to less than 200 HP when three freakin Devourers attacked. I barely managed to kill all three but only one remained. This one though, died to Scourges RIGHT before killing the Hive.
Arrg. At my base, i had three more carriers and three more warping in. He still didn't notice my expansion, which now was my only income of minerals. He said "when you going to give up?" with myself replying "Just one more attack".
I then sent my three carriers with other three carriers which were empty on interceptors. He didn't make much more since last time, and killed his main with not much a difficulty. I quickly exclaimed, "You MUST have expanded like HELL".
As i set out for the 12 o'clock expansion, all i saw was two spores, Evo Cham, Spawning Pool, and a morphing Hydra Den. WHAT? A MORPHING HYDRA DEN? He was really convinced that i have not expanded after my "Second" expansion was destroyed. He was like "Cheap! Cheap! I own the land..i don't like this map.."
i still couldn't believe that he haven't been doing anything while i was killing him. Damn, what a mistake. I killed his 12 o'clock position, and headed for his 3 o'clock, when he exclaimed "PLAY ON MY MAP!! I'll SHOW YOU!!!","Come to BOOGY/BOOGY"
I said "wow, i can't believe this, i was sure i was a goner. NE ways, GG"
This time, HE went for a last attack and killed alll my probes, with five-six mutas, in my Expansion. That exp being my only mineral source, i wasn't able to make more interceptors..:( but still had enought to kill his force. We once again promised to meet at the game "boogy/boogy" and "gg"'s and left the game with a Victory for just the second time in 13 games.
Lesson Learned: Corsairs, once again, ROCK!
Never, Never give up.
Don't stop producing units only because you "think" your opponent is dead.
I don't know how Graphics work so i couln't insert any pix, although i didn't take any.
