This is a report between me and my friend at my house, using a null-modem cable. Sorry about no pics. Anyways...
THE HUNTERS(sorry, but I actually like reg. hunters more than lost temple or dark temple)
Me(Psionic_jedi_)-selected Protoss 9:00 position
Peck(my friend)-selected Terran 2:00 position
This game starts out like any other, with us trash talking each other:). I started out with my usual toss, and tried out a new strat against terrans(which just so happens to be what my friend usually chooses). I make about 8 zealots, then about 12 dragoons. I take out some marines standing outside of my base, and then post them outside of the choke point to my base.
I begin to expand and get a citadel of Adun, when I asked him why he didn't tank rush. He began to say that I had too many troops, blah, blah, blah...
He tried to expand soon after my base at my choke finished. I found his base with a probe, and killed it with zealots. I then see this is a suitable time to go expand again, and at the same time, it would be suitable to attack him.
I send in a wave of 12 zealots, 2 templars and 20 dragoons. Unfortunately, he had about 10 FREAKIN TANKS. It pissed me off, but my templar killed most of his troops in the battle.
I now have three bases to his one, and decide to expand AGAIN. I move to the bottom middle. I also replenish my supplies of goons and templars. I also attacked him again. He had just as many tanx as before, and the same result happened.
By now I realized he was just turtling in(he doesn't usually do this, though). So I expand another couple of times or so.
He FINALLY starts to expand at his base at his choke. He now has 2 bases, to my 5. Then, realizing that ground troops won't really work on the amount of tanks he has, I decided to go with carriers, but I would make them so that he wouldn't know I was making them. Unfortunately, he was doing the same stunt at his base. Suddenly, a fleet of wraiths comes in and destroys one of my expansions.
All this time, I only used photons for detection, because I knew he doesn't like ghosts or vultures, and I didn't think he was getting wraiths. I THOUGHT that I had him turtling in, but apparantly I was wrong. STUPID, STUPID, STUPID.
I wasn't going to give up though. I immediately began to build photons around my main, and I began to build a robo facility. When his wratihs came, I used micro and temps psi storm to lure them into photons and to finish them off with templars. The worst was over.
I now am making turbo zealots and lots of carriers and observers, when my psi maxes out. So I figure this is a good time to attack.
His base must of had at least 15 tanks guarding it, with some marines and wraiths scattered here and there. I decided to attack his defense head on and weakien it with 24 zealots, 12 dragoons, and 4 templar. Then I would attack his scvs at the same time with 8 carriers.
The plan went more than perfectly. In addittion to slaughtering the scvs with my carriers, my zealots and goons actually KILLED 15 TANKS. I was amazed. Anyways, he conceded with a gg, and also said that I didn't even need the ground troops, which was probably true.
LESSONS LEARNED
1. Yeah, that's right ghost~lizard and Willzzz, TOSS>TERRAN. TOSS OWN! TOSS ARE DA'SHIT!
2. Carriers are good against terran if the terran doesn't realize your building them until too late.
3. I should've stopped making troops to attack him after I realized he had way too many tanks to attack.
P.S.-sorry about writing a report about me winning. I'll try to include some better games, where I lose or something in the future(future is after I write about kicking another terran players ass).
