...you can dance, you can da-ance. Having the time of our lives.
-Abba (Dancing Queen)
Upon starting this game, I was really looking forward to getting some dancing lessons. The problem is that I dance like a white man. My troops line-dance when they can. I needed serious help.
So I pull out Deep Six. I wall in. Nothing gets in. No recon for dancingqueen.
Deon finishes up the first rax, and speeds out of my base. I see something strange. He's warping in a pylon at my second natural. Cannon push? Boggle?
Ah, whatever.
Deon gets to his ramp. At this point I see 'extra high latency' light pop on twice. Hmm? I've got no lag. We've got no visible lag. Maybe this is necessary to learn the dance moves. Ah, whatever.
Deon starts dancing at dancingqueen's ramp. The zealot and the probe want to start dancing with Deon, so they come down and do a little dance, make a little love, that kind of thang.
Deon then whips out the Curly Shuffle and proceeds to look around his base. 2 gate, no assimilator (I was THIS close to building an offensive refinery), but deon liked life better. As he moonwalks out, I order Deon to check the opponent's natural.
A Nexus warping in....
Doh!
Back home, I've just about completed my factory and my second rax when I get the news. With the gas I've saved from not making a second factory, I immediately order up a starport. Heartcutter is doing the turbo newbie.
And it comes off without a hitch.
As the first dropship came online, it picked up the waiting firebat, 2 marines, SCV and tank and went for a little ride.
Got the turbo newbie into action before you could say 'James Brown'. He drops 2 zels on the cliff to kill the tank. I unsiege and drive around the bunker. The two marines and Baker make short work of them.
I reinforce the turbo with another payload of 3 marines a firebat and a tank. My turbo newbie will go the distance.
So dancing queen said 'good'. Yes! I'm getting rythm.
Deon is beaming right now. He's gonna get a big fat case of Colt .45 in his favorite brown 40oz bottles, just as soon as he checks out 12:00.
Poor Deon never got his malt liquor.
Two cannons trained on my little Sugar Poppin' Daddy. He never had a chance. Sniff. Right then and there, I caught a case of the Smuggler's Blues.
So the dropship came back from a scouting mission, loaded up and was ordered to Foxtrot over to 12:00. And as I was doing this, the DT hit.
Hrmph. DT. Ah, whatever. I still end up expanding.
They begin attacking outlying buildings, and conducting small assaults. But by this time I've got 4 rax built (and 2 in states of semi-construction). I order up my Waltzing fools. I order up firebats.
I can't say it was clean, but I did get the little buggers. Lost maybe 4 firebats, a depot, and the SCVs constructing the barracks. He lost his 12:00 Nexus.
Then things get really funny. I see a shuttle ferrying tons of zealots to my plateau. And goons. Should I go over and attack? Nah. We'll have a ballroom dance at my place instead.
I stuff the rax near my CC with 3 bats and a marine. Those guys were wallflowers anyway. Then all of a sudden, the dance was on. 12 zealots, 5 goons, and maybe some DT thrown in. My guys had stim, range, and were 1/1. His weren't upgraded (actually maybe speed legs).
I've never seen such an attack do so much nothing.
8 zealots immediately went for the bunker at the CC. The SCVs came over and helped repair it. The nailed the tank, but they didn't destroy the bunker. Then there was a bunch of 1v1's at my base. Firebat vs. Zealot. Waltz vs. Rave.
Some marines at range taking potshots at the multiple duos.
No contest.
Casper comes online and wants to party like it's 1999.
We make a trek over to 12:00 with a science vessel and dropship in tow. I unload the first 8 onto that plateau and he gets unfriendly and tries to storm my guys. My 3 stimmed firebats waltz over.
Then, with a final comment, he disconnects. Ah, whatever.
Who says disco is dead?

Fu haha? How many beats is that? Maybe if I keep repeating it, a rythm may develop.
Your Mother Chang NYE? No, she's not from eastside NY, but she is from Buffalo. I'm impressed you knew that.
Sae ggi? Sae ggi. Sae sae...sae gee gee! I've got it!!! I've got the beat!
He quit? Damn. I just had to check to see if he had a party ball. He did. He's a true dancing queen.
