Well after watching Maynard kill some kid w/o mercy, it was my turn to be his bitch. We decide to play Temple on fastest. Btw, Maynard like fastest... and is a micro guy, something you don't see a lot of.
I start at 6 as toss. My scouting eventually found him at 9, also toss. He had his choke blocked by 2 zeals which made me believe he was going some sort of tech.... but what could he doing? I was afraid of a dt drop having seen that done to me the day prior. To avoid this, I placed a few cannons around my base and one at my choke. Whew... now I am safe, right? ;( I only managed to turtle. I did manage a decent drop of 3 zeals and a dt. Unfortunately for me I saw a nice little "warp field distortion" aka "observer" and I only managed to kill a few probes. Eventually I had enough goons to try to attack. When I arrived at Maynard's base, my "enough" goons were about 1/2 the number of Maynard's "enough" goons. As I retreated, Maynard followed and contained me, forcing my to concede my natural. At this point I expanded to bottom right.
When Maynard didn't make a move for my main, I knew what he was doing... and I didn't need observers to realize. He was mad expanding. My troops were now starting to really get outnumbered. Eventually I built up enough to make a move and away I went. 8 zeals, 10 goons, 1 archon, and 2 temps broke out. I watched as Maynard seperated my troops and microed his goons. I still was able to overwhelm the choke and proceded to kill his expo at 12, his expo at 12 natural, his expo at the 3 mineral only, and was finally beat back at the 3 main. As I retreated my battered troops, I was greeted by another wave. Not only had more of his troops arrived, but there was a continual flow of troops. I gave my "gg" and left the game.
The stats in the end were actually fairly close... about 43k to 38-39k. No, the game wasn't that close. I assume he was taking me lightly... as I begged him before the game... and taking it easy on me. He really did own the game from beginning to end, and other than my moment of joy (Killing expos), there were no other bright moments.

Losers Bracket
Again no details on the [s]Mass vs whoever, but Mass won.
The other match I have a little more infomation on. Considering I was part of the ugliest, worst played, longest, most boring match I have played in a ... well... probably ever.
To set the stage, he picks terran and choses the map on Dire and I randomed terran. Terran vs. terran is usually pretty boring. Throw in HORRIBLE play, impossible control, and both people "wraith" rushing, you have a UGH game. Terran, as most people will agree requires the most micro. You have to be quick to retreat your wraiths if they become detected. Imagine not being able to select the wraiths quickly... this was our game.
After initially sending 2 wraiths down south and 2 west, I found him at top left. He had rines and 2 or 3 wraiths, so I backed off and began patrolling his edges. Sadly two of my wraiths strolled too close to the edge, were baited in, and met their demise to rines and a growing force of wraiths.
I tried to take the island between us and was quickly uprooted by 8 or so wraiths and 2 drop ships with rines and scvs. He quickly put some turrets up and I was sent packing. I started tank production so I could tank his minerals at the expo. I then also began massing rines and built 4 valks.
I later took the island below me and threw up 8900798 turrets. He tried to take it once, but lost 2-3 wraiths before retreating. Through scanning I had found him expanding to the bottom right and that he had like 3-4 scvs mining the middle expo. Maybe he hadn't started really mining because he was playing badly, or maybe my tanks were working, I do not know. All I know is that I nuked the expo to clear turrets, and sent 2 drop ships in to clear it. Later, over one the the big islands, 3-4 of my wraiths were intercepted by 6-7 of his wraiths. He cloaked, and I was out of mana. I ran my wraiths to the middle expo, and qued my scanner. Sure enough, he followed my wraiths right over my 10 or so 2-2 rines. One scan and 6-7 wraiths later... ;-) I then took that island.
I had not forgot about the bottom right expo. I scanned and sent my 5-6 wraiths and 4 valks to clear a path. I then unloaded 4 drops ships of rines and medics and cleared the 8-10 rines awaiting me and went to razing the base.
The rest was even uglier. I had 2 expos to none of his... I sent a 3 bc escorted drop and was greeted by 12+ ghosts. As I unloaded my ships... 4 seiged tanks let loose. The tanks were all next to each other by the factory, and I was just DUMB!
A few bcs and drops later the game was won by me. Ugly, but I'll take it.
