"There are so many ways to annoy a Zerg player, it's not even funny. Actually, it's really funny, so I retract my previous statement."

Boggled describes the moment.

Because of a quick mouse click before even stepping onto the battle field teched me down to regular un-brooded StarCraft. Being as lazy as I am I decide to proceed.

The first fatal mistake.

The second, being Zerg against a skilled Psi-Stormer.

You know that you are going to have a bad game when you sit there and say, “Shit, how am I gonna pull this one off.” Wishing for lurkers to help with the strait 5 million goons I curse my original mistake. The mistakes just start to compile.

Being the skilled Zerger that I am I decide that I am and being about a minute walk (a very far) from his base with speed upgraded lings I decide that a drop would be nice. I sent my overlords 6 strong filled with a hydra/ling combo, down the left side it would be great. I would just prance into his base, say hi, say gg and that would be it.

Wrong! when expanses pop out of nowhere it get messy. 4 cannons, tightly pack pour their energy weapons into my 6 overlords filled with the stuff of destruction. Before I can drop their cargoes 1 Overlord is grounded. The__Artist must not have liked the drop too much because within seconds the cannons and his expanse fell. But the cost to me was great. He had his templar with psi-storm sending shockwaves through my troops as they killed his nexus.

My once superior army was now very, very small.

I thought I was in luck, even though great loses, I stopped his expanse in its tracks and must have set him back, I had an expanse formed and would be greatly out producing him. The queen told me different. On the opposite side another expanse was brewing, already surrounded by cannons. The small force I had could not take out that strength.

I needed cannon killers, time to hit the guardians. Upgrading my Spire was in line now. While waiting that out scouting was in order. His base was fully of goons and templars all nicely placed. And the observers were floating all over the place. The greater spire coming up in about 30 now I send the muta’s 9 strong down towards his base intent on morphing goon before I entered the battle. En rout another one of his expanses popped up, cannoned and templar guarded. I am now wondering how this is happening... the 9 muta’s fall to the death of 1 templar and 1 cannon... 3 cannons still there.

Everything seams hopeless, I don’t know where to go... I can’t get through his defense and he will be out resourcing me soon. Time for another expanse. The drone sets off to create. The hatch is formed, and his observer is seen... I know he has seen the expanse go up now, and his goons will be on the way. So I send my muta’s over, about 30 strong. He gets the psi-storms off... and pop, pop, pop. My muta’s are gone. He took a loss though, about 7 goons.

At this time I start to wonder where I am going. He now has 3 expanses, scouting revealed another one that is in the same spot I destroyed earlier. Knowing that tendencies are to keep all your important buildings at your main. I go off to attack it, with upgraded lings. Having 5000 min and 800 gas it seems the way to go. I do some damage at first. I kill about 10 goons and 3 templars and lose 36 lings. Seems fair but he is quick to beef up his main. And all further attempts are for nothing.

I was dried up. There was now nothing left for me to do. I said my good game, X-files was on. Clicked on surrender and pulled out of that fray.
