Map : Lost Temple
12:00 - Me (Who'sYoDaddy) / Terran White
3:00 - LoveHouse / Terran Purple
The story starts in the
world of Battle.net, where I start a game called 1v1 bleh blah bleh in
StarCraft original. After a while of waiting, a person by the name
of LoveHouse or something to that affect joins. He/She has a record
with a 6 to 1 ratio where I have my record of 22-3-2 from playing crappy
people (not by my choice mind you) with my real life friend iGiNeST.
I've been playing StarCraft for about two months now and I know some good
strategies, but I'm still rather bad. I usually play Zerg in 1 on
1's due to the amount of mindless macroing it takes to win a zerg game,
but after reading all of Heartcutter's report, and being awed by the bunkerless
defense, Heavy Metal, and Deep Six, I've become one of those trendy
Terran wannabees. After a while of reading reports on BR.com, I decide
to report a game. So, without further ado, I shall proceed with my
report.
Let's Take
a Look at the Map

As you can see, both
of us are quite closed to each other, and it would probably not be a good
idea for either of us to build along our ledge on the side closest to our
adversaries, unfortunately for me, LoveHouse could
easily Turbo Newbie any expansion attempts of mine, but fortunately for
me, I could use Sieges and an Ebay / ComSat for spotters should LoveHouse
build near her cliff (her Refinery would also be in range).
I begin with my standerd 8 Rax 9 depot + depot with whichever SCV finished
their respective jobs first, successfully walling off my choke (LoveHouse
had
randomed) and giving me confidence in my ability to thwart any early Zealot
or Zergling rush. Once the second depot is done, I lift my Rax, send
Terrel underneath, and put back down my Rax. While Terrell is juking
and jiving his way to his 1st destination (3:00), I throw up a refinery
at 10 and start getting gas in lieu of my standard two factory build.
As Terrell nears his destination he spots some enemy buildings and high
steps up the ramp as he sees a purple Deon starting a supply depot trying
to wall off the choke. Terrell stiff arms deons and breaks through
for a touch down, successfully scouting his oppositions base, unfortunately
for me, however, LoveHouse
had
already started a refinery and was making something from a factory.
As Terrell breaks tackles from other SCV's, I hastily start a factory and
a Command Center, and see a red square emit from 3:00, I nail my space
key twice and see Terrell at 4 hp, I get him out of there with an SCV chasing
and run him to 6 o'clock, not wanting
LoveHouse
to
know where I am, the attacking SCV's back off and I send Terrell back under
the rax to start mining for me, wondering where the medics are and asking
if he can have a spong bath, I tell Terrell medics haven't flown from earth
yet, and with a loud stomp of the foot, he returns to work.
While
this was happening my Command Center finished, and I lifted it off hoping
for an island expansion in the upper left, but that idea goes up in flames
as an enemy wraith engages it up there, wraiths already? damn, I'm pretty
far behind, I knew I should have stuck with Zerg. Anyway, I contiue
my build up with an Academy and Dual Starports, putting up a Com-Sat at
the same time. My plan is to pump marines set up a few bunkers, and
expand to my natural.
I've sent out Terrell scouting in a vulture,
but due to the immense amount of fear that this time LoveHouse
will finish the job, he hides in a bush.
After
this setback, Terrell finally starts scouting the expansions, and finds
one at 9:00, unfortunately, his fears were right, and he dies to wraith,
bunker, and Siege Tank fire. R.I.P. Terrell. After building
some wraiths for protection, and pumping out barracks and marines, I try
to build some Siege Tanks. Whoops.....
Unfortunately
it was too little too late, and a control group of wraiths came flying
in, taking out 3 of my 5 wraiths before I could cloak. I was forced
to use my marines to try to shut them down, but that didn't fair too well.
After
destroying the last remnants of my marines, the Wraiths turned their vengeance
upon my poor tanks :(
My
troops were nothing but a few drips of blood and a lot of scraps of metal,
my SCV's were nothing but little claws, so me and Terrell (in a dragoon
suit) conceded the game.
If your reading this
for a strat, beware! No strats came from my side! I'll play
Zerg next time so I dont' suck so much :) I wrote this to try to
entertain the readers and if you were entertained please say so and tell
me in the comments section! Some of you may have noticed I used some
other gimicks thought of by other reporters, and tried to put a twist on
them (aka Terrell :p), I hope you guys don't have this stuff copyrighted.
