I was feeling kinda down, as it was Christmas Eve and no snow around, so I decided a clan practice with my ever popular Liquid Soul clan mates. At first, it started out as a 5 man ffa, but quickly turned ugly.
I started at 3 o'clock (on BGH :(((( )with zerg, *YUUUUUM*. I started out with 9 hatchery (expansion), pool, lord, 4 gas, 4 hatch, hatch. It was looking pretty good til I noticed that above me, LiquidH2o had about 30 cannons waiting to go through my mutas :[. So, I tossed about 10 sunkens on my expansion, researched my hydra speed/power, then morphed my hatchery and such, and got some lurkers. Ok, so I was getting around 4 mutas a shot once I settled down and started. Then, liqh2o (topright) notices my fleet of mutas and quickly suggests that him and I ally vs the other 3 clan members. THis is fine, so we think it's all over for the other 3. I have roughly 30 mutas, 8 guardians, and I attack our zerg opponent's top left base. As I'm doin this, I'm talking MAD smack about how my mutas & guardians are dominating the SNOT out of him. As I'm doing this, my distained partner mumbles something like "watch out for carriers/zealots/mass hydra coming toward your expanion. My reply was merely "meh, once they see my dominating they will retreat." UH UH...they didn't, as I destroyed the zerg base/expansion with mutas, but, didn't noticed the fact that my base was getting madly dominated. I tried to rush back with mutas while guardians finished off, but it was too late. My muta rush had worked, but I neglected to leave some guys back, and I was dinked. I tried one last attempt to pump out 4 more mutas, but their 60+ hydras dominated me.
Key Points
1. Don't play 3v2 and talk smack :]]]
2. Don't just think about offense, good defense wins games.
3. Zerg dinked me, and I am now turning on them.
Sorry for this boring report, but, it's my first. I soon hope to have many more interesting stories. :] |
