Lifetime Rating for Dialtone_: 8.3714 |   | Well people,the Y2K has passed and no destruction of the planet occured,aliens did not invade earth seeking for our pickle reserves and no terrorist whatsoever tried to takeover the world at any time.The Liberty statue as well as the Aiffel tower and the Colloseum are still where we left them.All i have to do now is find a way to get rid of all the toilet paper i had stocked up in the basement...
Intoduction:
After a few weeks of actually playing a bit(?) of starcraft i though i'd come back and add my twisted ungrammaricalitionitized style back to the battle reports list again,so this week i present you a game i watched a few days ago.The victims....ehmm players, were Master-trasher,^_^Korean[task],Pitt_The_Newt and [Beersicle], and as an observer wth me was Powerflame.The map was the ISL version of the overplayed,overexplored and overlaughed at about the previews facts Lost&found Temple.
Presenting the teams:
Team 1:The Smelly Pickles
Master-trasher and ^_^Korean[task]
Master-trasher:(aka [i]mpaired)was the star of a report i wrote a few days ago.I already knew he was a decent player,since he has beaten me quite a few times,although i still think that it was just imbalance talking...
^_^Korean[task]:I had no idea at the time who he was...
Team2:The Frozen Brocollis
[Beersicle] and Pitt_The_Newt
[Beersicle]:A shadow in the dark,nobody knows where this misterius player come from...ok whatever,i'm saying this cuz i dont know a thing about him =
Pitt_The_New:He strives to make the world a better plce for newts called Bob,or Pitt,and thats all you need to know.
I can already hear your "awwwwwww"s from where i'm sitting and i hate to keep you in agony,so lets get this torture finished as fast as possibe.Without any unnesecary or meaningless delays,since i never delay anything,and i never talk too much,or more than it's needed to explain what i want to say,and i never,ever say things that nobody understunds so i never have to repeat things i have said before :) i introduce you..to the game.
The Game:
Build Orders:
^_^Korean[task],who had picked zerg at the countdown was stationed in the 6 o'clock base..He early expanded before making his first overlord and then morhped a spawning pool.
Master-trasher,who controled protoss forces from the 3 o'clock spot started the games with a pylon and 2 Gateways.
Pitt_The_Newt,from the brokolli team,randomed and got a handfull of white protoss warriors in the 9 o'clock base.He started with double Gateway much like Master-trasher did but he was a few seconds slower than him.
His ally,[Beersicle],who was in control of yellow zerg at 12 o'clock started with a hatchery at his ramp and after his pool was finished got 2 sunkens there and went on to mine gas.
First blood:
The frozen brokollis team were the ones to spill the first blood in the game.They bunched up zerlings and zealots outside ^_^Korean[task]'s base and stormed in,^_^Korean[task] had no sunkens at the time since he had chosen to make a second hatchery at his expansion close to the first one which left him without any stationary defenses.The red zerlings fell with only a few of Pitt_The_Newt's zealots surviving,which he led up the ramp in hopes of taking out ^_^Korean[task]'s peons.He run out of luck there though since the zealots found themselfs trapped between ^_^Korean[task]'s just bree zerlings and Master-trasher's zealots that had just got there to help out.
In the meantime,[Beersicle] had a new batch of zerlings that he sent in hopes of finding Master-trasher's base unguarded.Zerlings dont fare so well against zealots on ramps though,and with 5 blue zealots sitting in the ramp the zerlings were slaughtered before [Beersicle] retreated them seeing that there was no way inside Master-trasher's base.^_^Korean[task] had big plans in mind too,as he sent 12 newly hatched zerlings to [Beersicle]'s base,the zerling attack failed with [Beersicle]'s zerlings on hold position and a sunken to back them up,until Master-trasher's zealots showed their face in the bloodshed[Beersicle] had ordered his zelrings to follow ^_^Korean[task]'s zerling and found themselves facing 5 zealots in open ground.The lings were cut down easy by the zealots and things didnt look good for [Beersicle] until Pitt_The_Newt's zealots arrived to save the day.
By this time Master-trasher has added an extra 2 Gateways,reacing a total of 4 as well as a forge.Shortly after the gateways were warped he added a cyber core to his base.Pitt_The_Newt had 3 gateways,an had teched up to templars and had a forge while [Beersicle] had 3 hatcheries, a lair and was morphing a spire but has not yet expanded.^_^Korean[task] was mining full time from his expansion by this time,and had no lair yet.At this time Master-trasher also takes his natural.
The smelly pickles make their move:
Master-trasher and ^_^Korean[task] start moving forces towards Pitt_The_Newt's base.At this time Pitt_The_Newt's defenses were unupgraded zealots and dragoons as well as an archon/big blue funball.The pickles had a major disadvantage at the time though,they had absolutely no ranged atackers except a few of ^_^Korean[task]'s hydralisks(not more than 5 though) and that would cost them the atack.[Beersicle] sent a control group of mutalisks he had managed to save from not making any hydralisks all this time to atack the unfortunate zealots/zerlings while they were running around trying to find a way up Pitt_The_Newt's ramp.The attack failed and Pitt_The_Newt and [Beersicle] were aiming at ^_^Korean[task]'s undefended base.
Downfall:
The attack to ^_^Korean[task]'s natural was ferocious counting about 10 mutalisks,12 dragoons as well as a control group of zerlings that never got there since they met Master-trasher's zealots that were headed to his ally's base to help.The zealots were there too late though and ^_^Korean[task] abandoned the game seeing that all was lost.
2vs1,how long can Master-trasher hold?
Things didnt look that well at all for Master-trasher.He was pumping zealots/dragoons from 4 gateways at the time and quicly warped another two,but they weren't going to help him much for now.[Beersicle] was harassing Master-trasher's peon line with hits a runs managing to blow off a cannon and damaging 2 dragoons before pulling them back as Pitt_The_Newt said that they could just run him over.They both gathered a force of dargoons,zealots,mutalisks and a few zerlings.The protoss warriors atacked first and soon the mutas followed.Storms flied,zealots were ripped apart and dragoons were turned into soup cans as Master-trasher's base seemed to hold the first strike.At this point [Beersicle] started making hydralisks and Pitt_The_Newts started with dragoons again.Master-trasher noticed the lack of detectiors and started making dark templars from his 6 gateways.In the end though dark templars alone could not hold the double team and after a few gg's were exchanged Master-trasher resigned from the game.
Winners:[Beersicle] and Pitt_The_Newt
