Introduction
First of all, I'd like to apologize
for the lack of pics, I didn't expect to do a battle report on this ladder game, but it
was a very good game so I decided to. This was the 3 rd of my ladder games since the new
season started, and so far I was 2-0-0. I was pretty confident thins game, but you never
know what could happen... Without further adieu, Here is the game:

Early Game
The map was, of course,
The [not so] Lost Temple. He started in the left start point as a yellow terran, while I
warped in my nexus and 4 probes in the right starting as the illustrious white protoss.
Since he went random I opted to go 8 pylon, 11 gateway, 15 cybercore, zeal, 17 gateway.
After my first gateway I asked for a volunteer to go out and scout the enemy base. One
lone probe gave me a confirming *beep*so I sent him to the top position - nope. Then to
the bottom base - well what do ya know... always the last place you look! So I sent him to
the left. He was humming a tune (mainly beeps and ASCII script) as he headed towards the
enemy ledge. Oh, god no... gunned down! about 5 American marines gunned down the Korean
probe right as he was about to go up the ramp! Oh well, I never much like that probe.
I saw he had a
couple or marines, not a whole platoon, so I opted to go for tech. He then decides to send
Deon in (he stole him from YRM for this battle, I was afraid since he is invincible) and
he had very good luck, since I had a mer 1 zealot and another coming. So he scouted my
base, and being the very brave Deon he is, attacked my zealot. Oh poor Deon, he never saw
it coming. So, on with the game. I now have 2 zeals + 3 goons. (MW)PSI decides this is the
time to attack. he has about 4-6 marines along with 2 Deon-clones. I had the ledge
advantage, and had just started my nexus for my natural EXP. I easily defeat the
attackers, and he manages to run away but 1 of his SCVs.
Mid Game
My expansion at my
natural is now up and running, and has a gas. I also have about 3 dark templar along with
my original 3 goons + 2 and my 2 zeals. He attacks again, he notes that I have DTs and
runs like mad. 1 of my goons follows him and finds that I am bunkered/turreted in. Oh
shit. Turbo newbie on my exp. with 2 tanks too! Hmmm, thank god I just made that robotics
and started my shuttle...
I move my probes
out of harms way and send a shuttle with 2 goons (I had previously temp stormed those 2
tanks) and the goons dispatch the tanks with 1 casualty. That'll teach me to send hurt
goons. I now start production of reavers to assist me in the break. I get my first reaver
and start attacking the bunkers. He responds with 2 wraith that are shot at by my goons, I
am now +1attack. They run. I have my natural exp., looking at the bottom right island, and
have 3 gates, warping another. I keep pumping temps and a couple goons/DT/zeals. When I
see he is going tanks I start zeal production, and start my exp. at the bottom island. I
have 0 scouting since the block. I then opt to take out that bunker-in. I attack it, and
get gunned down but taking out all the bunks -1 and a couple tanks. Then I take the zeals.
they attack along with 2 storms and boom, that is gone. I then get the chance to scout
with another Korean-speaking probe. He find that he indeed has expanded to his natural
(with a nuke silo(!)) as well as his further-out mineral only expansion.
Both of his EXPs
are totally undefended and with my now up to 9 gateways and about 24 zeals, I attack along
with a couple corsair and goon that I recently got. Right as I was leaving my base I saw
the nuke sign. He WAS nuking the bunch of troops that I had just sent out! the nuke got 1
zeal and about 1/2 of a cannon.he then proceeded to attack my poor poor reaver! Stupid
reaver was real slow, I didn't like him. Uh, oh! Your clock is gone! Ghost = boom. Now
that that threat was gone, I centralized on my attack. My upgrades where +1 attack, +1
armor so I called upon Aiur to send me another forge from its so-called
"Forge-Farms," they complied. Ok, now about the attack. It was doing great
except the tanks on the cliff killed it.
Late Game
So that attack
failed. But now my 9 gates were still pumping zeal/DT/goon (since I had web now). My
thirst for blood was high, and I continued to attack in the same way for about 10 min,
send build send build, etc. I figured I was wearing him down, but I guess not. Every time
I got up that da*n ramp more tanks greeted me. Vults, pyromaniac firebats, and everything
else. But I won't let up, if I did that I'd lose. So they kept coming, his mineral-only
would be lifted, repaired, lifted.... so it was basically out of commission. I also
managed, with one of the attacks, to smoke that stupid nuke silo. I was really eroding him
down to a pebble. Then I sent the next wave, it met with tanks that were dispatched by
reavers and then I got into his base. He had no defense, obviously since it was all
outside. now I am 3 attack, 2 armor, 1 shield. I knew I had him. He somehow held that off
so I sent the FINAL wave. He quit. He was

Master-Binjured was playing from 63.20.4X.XXX.
This game lasted 39 minutes.
It was a great game, and it was very
tight for sometime. I did learn a few things from it to, about both our mistakes:
Always have a scout out there, If I hadn't got
bunkered in, that game would have taken about 15 min.
Always watch for the turbo-newbie.
D-web = bad when you have all zeals =]
He should have expanded numerous times while he had
me controlled, he could have taken top island, bottom start point, and the 2 others he
took, then basically gone whatever he wanted
reinforce you bunker-in, it doesn't work without all
your forces there, obviously you need some defense
I am improving =]
Now, for 1 final comment / question. His ladder was
1116, and mine was 1045. I won and got 30 points (1075) for it. Isn't this a bit to small
an amount for the difference in score? Oh well. Comments are appreciated. Thanks for
reading.
