Team 1- Shabz and Blade. (Thats my team) Me red zerg Blade teal toss
Team 2- Flint and Limpling. Flint white zerg Limpling Blue toss
Team 3- TurtleTerran and Rockseed. Turtle was purple terran and Rock was brown zerg.
Team 4- The two muppets, Weremuppet and some other muppet I can't recall. Weremuppet was orange toss, muppet 2 was yellow terran.
So anyways, since it was a 2v2v2v2v2v2v2v2... me and Blade decided to play it like a ffa, in other words expand like craaaazyy. I did a 9 pool because I was on the left middle and Blade was on right bottom and I thought that we should have mobile forces to help each other with. If my ally was being double teamed, sunkens can't help him that much.
The first team we came across was Turtle and Brown Zerg. Zerg and Turtle found Blade's early expansion which was a little bit to the bottom right of the center of the map (Killing Fields).
Zerg boy harassed the lone Nexus with some hydras and lings while terran brought marines and meds. At that time Blade had made a group of zlots and was holding off fine. But then the two guys kept sending troops, so I sent 2 groups of speed upgraded lings to his expansion. We held them off pretty well, but then brown zerg sent around 4 muties to Blade's mineral patches. He was just in the process of making 2 goons, but the muties managed to kill some probes and delayed Blade's cash flow a lil bit.
After Blade killed the muties, we thought, hmmmmm... quick muties, let's attack his main, theres prolly very little defenses in his main. So I sent about 36 lings to his main, while Blade sent a group of zlots and several goons. We were met with about 4 sunkens 8 lings, and 2 muties that just popped out. There were no hydras yet, because Rock tried to go for quick muties. I aimed for the spire, killing it, then for the sunkens. We managed to crumple brown's main pretty effectively until his hydras finally killed our guys.
Of course, this whole time Turtle was beefing up his army, and soon enough he sent 4-6 tanks and a group of m&ms to Blade's exp. Blade only had a half dozen goons while I only have a group of hydra. After a little while Blade's expansion finally collapsed, and Turtle was really in good position to move into Blade's base. But... my lucky no shadow drone kicked in and TurtleTerran, the purple terran, got dropped, phew. Lag was bad.
In just a short time both me and Blade got our expansions running strong. I dunno what exactly happened but I guess Limpling attacked the weak brown zerg, and finishing him off. That's one team down.
After a couple of minutes Orange toss, Werepuppet, said, please leave me some pylons. Well... I guess the team of Limpling and Flint killed him off. The main players remained are Blade, Shabz, Limpling, Flint, and the yellow terran, who was given the bad position of bottom left. His team might have faired better if orange didnt start top mid and Blade and I didnt surround him with our expansions. Basically the muppets werent able to help each other with ease.
Now, about an hour into the game, Blade and I have control to the bottom of the map, with the exception of bottom left, yellow's bases. He had planted many spider mines between his and my main, but my lords spotted most of them. When I found out that he had expanded to the cliff between us, I gathered 5 lurkers and 3 groups of hydras and dropped on his expansion. That killed his new expansion really bad, as I have only lost a couple of guys. Seeing that I sent most of my guys to his expansion, yellow showed up at my base with his valks and wraiths, killing about 4 overlords before I transported my guys back.
After that, I sent 6 lurkers and 2 groups of hydras to yellow's main, only to find him well bunkered in. Spotting a weak point, I snuck my lurkers into his mineral patches, while distracting his bunkers and tanks with my hydras. My lurkers proceeded to take out most of his base, but at the same time yellow made a fortified base up on another cliff, this time well cover by turrets. Thinking that yellow is not much of a threat for now, I went to help Blade attack Limpling(toss)'s expansion. I cant count how many units on both sides were lost in the many battles.
The battles there went something like this:
Blade attack with group of zlots and groups of goons. Limping fights back with his own group of goons and templars. Psi storm... Half of Blade's attackers die. Retreat, attack again with templars and zlots and goons. Blue kills lots of it with psi storms, while his base is left with some goons and cannons. I run in with 2-3 groups of lings. Psi-storm... half my guys die. Flint comes in with hydras and lurkers. Lurkers kill all of my lings. Blade goes back again, this time with corsairs and carriers and goons and zlots. Dweb all over the place, more blue temps attack, then white flys bunch of scourges in, which were all killed by the corsairs before they reached the carriers. After a long series of attacks blue finally lost his expansion. Shortly after blue and white gave in.
Two down.
At about this time, yellow showed up at my main with his group of battlecruisers and sci vessels and wraiths and valks. He proceeded to rape me and killed my hive, pool, and den. That wasn't cool. I had to rebuild at purple's now empty base while pleading Blade to help. Blade said, "Sure, watch me go own him." I said, "coo." Blade sent his carriers, corsairs, scouts, goons, and temps at one of yellow's two remaining bases. He kept all of his flyers near the edge of the cliff so when the bcs come, the temps would be able to psi storm them. At one time his psi storm killed a whole group of wraiths. The bcs retreated to the other base, but Blade just kept flying in, and pretty soon yellow finally gave in. Game over. over 2 hours long. |
